    [Albion] Welbeck

Well his goal today has saved my weekend. I was just starting to panic and told the wife that "we're going to concede any minute" . She wisely left the room only to miss me punching the air and whooping like an idiot. Football eh - what do i know ?

[Albion] Which was better ? Lewis chest back or Danny's Pascal impression

I voted for both. However Dunkies chest back was ultra cool but Welbecks turn and finish was something else.

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Leeds United *** Official Match Thread ***

Yep. The added joy of Welbecks goal was as soon as it hit the net you knew it was a goal as no need for a VAR. A goal from pre VAR days. The penalty could have been overturned as it happened so quick. Thought the ref was excellent but I always think that after a 2-0 home win ! Did Sanchez...

    [Albion] Premier League 30/4 - 3/5/21

Palace now lost more at home and away than us.

Didn't we have a first innings lead against Yorkshire as well ? Looks like a repeat .

[Football] Who would do the best job as Spurs manager

I dreamed we beat one of the bottom three clubs this season. I too am a dreamer

    [Albion] We are the Champions

An amazing night by all accounts. 3 years before I was born but a good friend watched it all from the Albion dugout as a young boy and says it was an incredible evening. https://thegoldstonewrap.com/tag/adrian-thorne/

[Albion] Maupay stats vs other PL strikers this season

I feel its a bit unfair picking out Maupay solely for criticism in this area. Apart from the Sheff U chance , which was blasted across goal and behind him ,I am struggling to remember some really glaring misses. I think his trouble is he is greedy and never lays the ball off to a better placed...

[Football] For what duration of a match could an elite side hide a pub player?

Stoke played a vastly overweight left winger against us once at the Goldstone. Can't remember his name , he looked like a pub player but was rather good.

    Who will leave?

Much better to vote when you know the outcome. But even then it appears I got some wrong

    Who will leave?

I reckon all of em apart from Dunk and I think Bruno will stay at the club is some role or other.

    [Football] Duffy

Is he still an Albion player or now free agent ?

    [Football] Romain Vincelot

I liked him when he played for us. Good fortune to him.

[Albion] Potter or Hodgson, Albion's squad or Palace's squad

I would also add Milivojevic , a decent player and good at free kicks and penalties. I would have had him in our side vs West Brom (away) and we would have had 3 points instead of none. I wouldn't want Palace's wage bill

    [Albion] Norwich and Watford

You make a good point. I sometimes fall into the trap of judging the manager and team on the latest result. But you can also have a more measured view which can lead you to the 2 alternatives as well. I'm sticking to - we get relegated Potter should go - we stay up he stays.

[Albion] Who is going down with Sheffield Utd?

I think the gap and goal difference is to big for Fulham & West Brom now.But Fulham do have an easier run in than us. However, this season most of our points have been against the middle of the table teams , so I am banking on us winning at least one of the games against Leeds, West Ham ...

    [Albion] Premier League 16-26/4/21

I think a Palace win will better serve us. As it will give Chelsea further motivation to beat Fulham and catch Leicester:shrug:

[Albion] To Avoid Potter Bashing - Staying Up Tracker - 2020/21 - Game 38 Update - 1 OVER

I'd happily settle for Victories over Leeds & W. Ham as our last points of this season.

[Albion] 4 points from a possible 18 against the bottom 3

Against bottom three - BHA 4 points in 6 games Newcastle 5 points in 4 games (Sheff U & WBA to play) Burnley 6 points in 4 games (Sheff U & Fulham to play) Southampton 10 points in 5 games (Fulham to play) Palace 13 points in 5 games (Sheff U to play) Against top three - BHA 0 points in 5...

    [Albion] Premier League 16-26/4/21

Again I agree. It has been very strange "project potter" - without doubt we have improved our performances against the better sides yet look woefully short against the relegation fodder. The style of football appears easy on the eye yet is so frustrating as we invariably fail to take advance of...
