Well his goal today has saved my weekend. I was just starting to panic and told the wife that "we're going to concede any minute" . She wisely left the room only to miss me punching the air and whooping like an idiot. Football eh - what do i know ?
Yep. The added joy of Welbecks goal was as soon as it hit the net you knew it was a goal as no need for a VAR. A goal from pre VAR days.
The penalty could have been overturned as it happened so quick.
Thought the ref was excellent but I always think that after a 2-0 home win !
Did Sanchez...
An amazing night by all accounts. 3 years before I was born but a good friend watched it all from the Albion dugout as a young boy and says it was an incredible evening.

I feel its a bit unfair picking out Maupay solely for criticism in this area. Apart from the Sheff U chance , which was blasted across goal and behind him ,I am struggling to remember some really glaring misses. I think his trouble is he is greedy and never lays the ball off to a better placed...
Stoke played a vastly overweight left winger against us once at the Goldstone. Can't remember his name , he looked like a pub player but was rather good.
I would also add Milivojevic , a decent player and good at free kicks and penalties. I would have had him in our side vs West Brom (away) and we would have had 3 points instead of none.

I'm sticking to - we get relegated Potter should go - we stay up he stays.
I think the gap and goal difference is to big for Fulham & West Brom now.But Fulham do have an easier run in than us.
However, this season most of our points have been against the middle of the table teams , so I am banking on us winning at least one of the games against Leeds, West Ham ...
Against bottom three -
BHA 4 points in 6 games
Newcastle 5 points in 4 games (Sheff U & WBA to play)
Burnley 6 points in 4 games (Sheff U & Fulham to play)
Southampton 10 points in 5 games (Fulham to play)
Palace 13 points in 5 games (Sheff U to play)
Against top three -
BHA 0 points in 5...
Again I agree.
It has been very strange "project potter" - without doubt we have improved our performances against the better sides yet look woefully short against the relegation fodder. The style of football appears easy on the eye yet is so frustrating as we invariably fail to take advance of...
