The back page of the argus about Hyypia hoping he has money to spend come January is just plain depressing.
Failed to get anything out of the current squad so let's throw money at him, good god.
As I put on another thread, I'm now worried that the club/Bloom are going try to spend their way out of trouble. It didn't work with Adams and I can't see it working with Hyypia who has failed in a speculator way to get anything near the best out of the players he has to work with on a daily basis
Slightly worried that the club/Bloom are going to chuck money at the problem, i.e. buying a load of players to go on top of the players Hyypia can't get the best out of, in a desperate attempt to show they are right and the fans are wrong. It didn't work with Adams and I can't seeing it working...
In - his work is the business side of things and, according to those in the know, that is getting better and the football budget, according to Bloom, is up. Needs to wind his neck in when writing his programme notes though.
In - major part in setting up the academy (ranked No 1 apparently (well until Man City opened theirs)) and has a new set up around him in the bloke from Derby and new scouts. The players that have come in this season are not that bad either, certainty not as bad as the current position shows...
While the Gus thing was strange, I'm more bemused by what went on with Oscar. Here was a man who really wanted the job (what Bloom said about his interview said alot), said all the correct things, had a nice new training ground to go to and yet walked out (and wanted to leave earlier in the season).
While I very much doubt I would give up my season ticket, I agree about the Withdean. Going to the Amex this season has been a drag and not enjoyable and whereas before I would try to avoid missing a game this season I've not been fussed if I have something else to go to.
Or he likes getting paid and realises that he won't get another stab at management (bar possibly the Finnish national team) for a long time should he walk.
Personally, I think he is waiting for the sack and the board want him to quit
While I don't agree with booing during the game, people have every right to protest how they want giving the shocking decline that has taken place on the pitch and the dreadful tactics that he puts out week in week out
Super another anti JFC thread. The fact he is being asked to play as a defensive midfielder seems lost on some, wonder if the people constantly having a go are the same as the ones who disliked Barnes (for whatever reason) and Murray (for not trying enough or being Northern)
And Rome was built in a day? A style of football though the club (something the club had under Gus and Oscar) and bringing through the youth will have a better and longer effect than promotion at all costs and an ugly style of play.
Also I would defiantly say we were from shit under both out...
Have you read what he wrote? Very little criticism has come from me regarding Paul Barber, but his notes last night were poor, ill timed and completely unnecessary. Very surprised
