Agree. I'm sick of these U-23 signings - "one's for the future" - when we need some 'Premier ready' first-team players. We sign them, loan them out to a lower league club for a year or two, and then release them. We signed Richie Towell (actually 24 at the time) four years ago: he played one...

Yeah, it woke me up in the early hours; great to watch. Never seen anything like it before though - usual thunderstorm is a flash of lighting every couple of minutes followed by the thunder, but this was continual lightning, more like a strobe. Beautiful, but bizarre.

Was originally quietly optimistic with Potter's talk about a different style of football, and the Trossard signing, but the quietness since then, and the bizarre Knockaert loan to Fulham, has shaken by confidence.

In response to Dolph Ins #76 Ah, that would have been 1986; I was there too. It was great when they played my fave Cure track, A Hundred Years, opening with the line “Doesn’t matter if we all die...” while a thunderstorm was going on right overhead. Added to the aura of Gothic doom superbly :cool:
