Indeed. Tbh expectation in the SPL should be winning every game apart from Celtic, where a win is not guaranteed.
So ~60% is low. I suppose if this takes European games in to consideration too, that would bring the average down.
Quite. I think it's worth considering that players have different strengths and weaknesses under different managers. BDB under Potter was a revelation, for example.
IMO Igor is already good enough for our realistic ambitions of a PL finish next season (10-15th). If he leaves I'm not sure we'd...
He must be really driving that basic wage up on the contract with the will he / won' he.
And possibly just waiting for another day or two to see what happens with Ten Hag. i expect the sentiment of Utds famous cup win will have worn off by tomorrow morning and then they can sack him.
Just imagining the hundreds of dummies, rattles and little blue bunnies being flung on to the pitch.
Maybe the club will need to appoint a head of crèche for home games.
Not for one moment did I ever sympathise with GP for anything that happened at Chelsea until this happened. The discomfort he must have felt trying to relate to the shitmunchers must have been excruciating.
I think the added layer of 50% of fans thinking he is a f***ing massive f***ing piece of shit would be a big distraction. The fire in his belly would be tempered by the £20m+ he got for 6 months work at Chelsea. Any job prospect would be a bit meh after that.
I agree that Potter did a great job with the tools he had, at the time. But also with hindsight there were some players that flourished when he left.
If he were to return, and I’m chucking with excitement and irony at the prospect, some players (Solly, Steele) might not be buzzing. But also...
I’ve seen this banded around a bit re: Frank.
The most wild take ever. Can’t see why Chelsea would do this, esp now. Like…why wouldn’t they have done it with any of their previous Clearlake appointments? If anything it’s the worst stock TF has had. Maybe cheaper for comp but makes no sense to...
My previous post wasn’t a piss take at all. I think it would be great if he came back.
But also the stability of a see-saw. If he achieves the success he was arcing towards the first time, he’s gone in 18 months. And the best punch line of all time is that it’s literally to Chelsea.
I’ve decided it should be Graham Potter.
Bring him home.
If he does well, he leaves. If he fails he leaves.
But let’s just do it. Just for a laugh.
