If they bring back potter this week, we will have a pre season jolly to Japan and euro 24 to forget all about his little adventure up the Fulham road

We will be a laughing stock with the noisy ones up the road in Croydon but that will pass.

If bloom and barber think that it’s the right thing to do then seemly in them we trust is the mantra and we suck it up and welcome him with a hearty handshake and no ill will

Unless you are @dwayne and @junior and you will combust at the very thought.

Get him back mr riker
I’m not even sure we’d be a laughing stock. Get back someone who had us 4th in the Premier League, having banked £20m+ in the process.

Barber's body language had pretty much made it clear that McKenna wasn't coming and I'd be bloody surprised if Potter comes back Bloom doesn't forgive so if Potter comes back the Chelsea exit was not the story we thought it was.

Has Barber done an interview or something?

I can’t back the club to the levels I did before, if they bring back potter. Seriously killing any passion for the game from a fans perspective. It’s a shocking decision, seriously disappointed if it happens. I don’t care if he was 4th with us, it’s a bad decision, it will divide the fanbase and it will lead to emptier stadiums. So Poor.
This 100%

The absolute state of some of the comments on this thread.

1. There is nothing wrong with asking KM if he was interested. If he decides he wants to stay with his promoted project, that is not a "screw up" or an embarrassment, it's just the real world.

2. Why on earth is everyone assuming no KM = Potter and then losing their shit? There is literally nothing concrete to base this on.

3. EVERYTHING being discussed right now is being fed by the click-obsessed media. NOTHING is coming from the club. Do we seriously believe that TB and co are in a total panic right now? No, they are quietly and privately pursuing several pre-planned targets.

Calm down everyone. Potter being linked with short odds is probably no more than loads of people putting 2+2 together to make eleventy three.

There’s an entire continent worth of management talent for us to choose from, and most domestic competition only just finished this weekend.
This comment is a banger, can't wait to read it back when Potter is reappointed

What do you reckon the players would think about it? FWIW I'm in the 'never go back' camp - I got back together with exes twice, it was properly awful both times :ROFLMAO:

Already a couple of palace mates have sent me “ hilarious “ memes.

When reliable journalists mentioned Chelsea were seriously looking at McKenna and had made contact with his representatives, it was obvious imho that he’d not entertain a ‘sideways move’ to us. His ego and ambitions would have been heightened … European football, a £5m salary, working with a £1b squad, the potential to win silverware. Let’s be honest, we’re not in that realm. (European football was achieved with two world class CM’ers, Colwill, peak Gross, an uninhibited kid EF banging in goals for fun, unplayable wingers …. plus an adventurous coach …. our stars aligned in 2022/23). McKenna’s stock is now sky high.

Unlike most it appears, I held back from thinking McKenna would jump at the chance to coach here.

Bloom and Barber deal with these things in a cerebral, systematic way. They don’t allow emotion, hyperbole, herd instinct to cloud their judgement. Their field of candidates will go beyond the same 3 or 4 names done to death in the media and on nsc.

Trust in TB and Starlizard, all is good.
