If anyone fancies a show after the Liverpool game, Porridge Radio play the Westhill Hall (Compton Avenue) next Saturday evening.
£5 in (£4 adv) and BYOB. So if you were going to sit in the pub all evening by the time you've bought and consumed 2 tinnies, the ticket has paid for itself...

Think this year's Falcons were being a touch overrated tbh. No running game and a dysfunctional defence.
On another note I don't think there's a huge difference between the Bengals, Ravens & Browns atm. The Bengals defence is just putrid.

Anyone on the new Julia Holter album yet? It's fantastic of course (I reckon she's probably the best artist of this decade so far) but dense, complex, difficult abruptly ending the gradual popification of her work. Definite contender for my album of the year once I get to grips with it.

My hunch is they won't. I think Dorsey seems to know what he's doing. Get the right coaches in, pick up talent on the offensive line and give Mayfield some targets in the off season and I think we have a playoff contender if not next year then the year after.
About time. They now need to not give the job to Todd Haley.
Lincoln Riley would be an interesting choice, widely credited with being something of an offensive mastermind at Oklahoma, where the offensive production has barely dropped since losing Baker Mayfield (yes that one!) to the NFL this...
Bortles is awful.
However, that contract isn't that fat, it was a hedge and the Jags can get out of it in 2020 with a minimal cap hit. If they weren't going to go after a quarterback last year (which I think they probably should have done in free agency or taken the trade that the Skins did...
Looks like a pretty egregious overpay to me. However, I like Cooper's talent, perhaps a change of scenery might do him some good. At least Dak Prescott has a target once Cooper gets up to speed on the playbook.
To be fair to Haley (and I was of the opinion his time was up in Pittsburgh, I'm no huge fan of his) Hue Jackson came across like David Brent with a headcoaching job in the NFL.
But yeah, Haley has got form for being pretty disagreeable.
Whilst I think the Giants were mad for drafting him at 1.2, given the QB heavy draft, the glaring need there and the relative value of running back to quarterback, Saquon Barkley has just about been my favourite player to watch this year so far. That he can be so good on a team that is so bad is...
:lolol: I'm sure Todd Haley (widely considered to be a bit of an arse) will be happy with that. Interestingly this was the narrative on Haley in Pittsburgh, great scheme, poor playcaller.
