Grayling is a wanchor, no doubt of that. But when did the 'Shadow Transport Secretary' raise this as an issue for debate in the Commons? I assume he referenced that too?
Airports are really only the tip of the iceberg though. Sure, they may well have a solution but pretty well any public place (train stations, stadia, shopping centres) can be targeted. There has to be a more comprehensive solution though f**k knows how you could even begin to think that one through
Or worse than that. Banning might deal with chancers and a few loonies but the technology exists and so isn't going to stop extremists. it really is a case of 'when' not 'if' I think
These things have been around for years and I suspect nobody has really bothered too much about the implications...
Oh right, even worse than I thought then. The chaos that can be unleashed with these things has no limits and seemingly pretty well undetectable. There really doesn't appear to be an answer.
In the meantime Amazon and specialist retailers are filling their boots .... we get what we deserve...
and therein lies the problem that has been ignored for years. It doesn't need a vivid imagination to understand the immense disruption these things can cause. Next time at the Amex and some nutjob sends one over, what then?
I dunno about "how shit we are", the reality is very little can be...
As they're unlikely to be standing by the perimeter fence then I don't see how they can catch them, maybe they're daft enough to fly them back to where they are, dunno.
The whole drone thing is a ticking time bomb. If anyone wanted, they could "paralyse" pretty well anything with little fear...
Thanks for your help, much appreciated. Saw my neighbour outside and discover his best mate is an electrician so he's going to come over later ... probably the best
It only goes "occasionally" but too frequently to ignore. I've got a suspicion it's one particular double socket and I'm wondering if taking it off might reveal a lose connection. On the other hand if it's just overloading a particular circuit (Mrs uses that plug for ironing) I won't see...
VPN's are fine for anonymising your IP for security reasons (I guess there are good reasons to do so) but the issue will be that you are using it to 'pretend' to be somewhere else. So logging into NBC or Sportsnet pretending to be in the US or Canada when you are actually in the UK will be the...
Don't be daft, Farage and Boris laid it out very clearly. We would all be so much better off, the NHS would be awash with money, plenty of low paid work for our own people who were being unfairly discriminated against, we would become a trading powerhouse and the British Empire would be put back...
