Big day for my adopted club here in Cyprus, AEL (Athlitiki, Enosi Limassol).
We're at home today against Anorthosis (who we should beat), the other big game today is the Nicosia derby match, APOEL v Omonia, We're currently two points ahead of APOEL with just one game to play after today...
I clicked home and work, although my work is too tight to pay for a computer for my lab, so I have to take my own laptop in!
It's the ariel view of the AMex from the police helicopter that someone posted on here a while back.
This was AEL-Omonia last Sunday. I was somewhere in the lower tier towards the right (looking from the pitch). It's pplay-off season now, the top 4 in the league play each other home and away to decide the championship, with the points being added to the season total. I'm glad to say AEL won 2-0...
Once, when I worked at the County Hospital, I threw a pound coin across the staff room at the bloke who collected the tea money. It hit the wall behind his head, bounced onto his baldy head, then bounced off his baldy head straight into the cup of tea he was holding.
I'll never repeat that...
According to BBC live text:
28:03 Lukas Jutkiewicz takes a shot. Save made by Jason Steele.
Was he shooting at his own goal, or did Steele run down the pitch to stand between our sticks?

Quite, decanting oetrol next to an open flame, clearly not the brightest bulb in the box.
However, it does show up how ridiculously incompetent this government are, it's exactly because people like this exist that the government advising people to stockpile petrol was incredibly stupid and...
I used to have a very good Japanese Les Paul copy a long time ago. Finally got rid of it when it needed refretting. I gave it away to a mate who though it was worth doing.
I now have a Fender Strat which I brought to Cyprus with me when I moved. I wouldn't claim ro be any good though. I can...
I never went to clubs that had that sort of dress code, even in the 80s it seemed outdated to me.
Hungry Years, The Basement, The Catfish and The Underground for me back then (and before The Underground, the basement of the Restoration)
Yup, there were just 500 left at the ground, with thousands queuing up for them.
Caused a bit of a kerfuffle by all accounts.
Still, looking at the table AEL should be in Europe next year. I will definitely make at least one away game for that!
