A lot of people here have an irrational dislike of Villa. I guess it's partly because we couldn't get one over you in the championship and we 'lost' the title at yours, and partly because you're the lowest hanging fruit of the 'big clubs' which we're trying to overhaul.
But I've got good mates...
Well, third gets a knockout game in the Conference, second gets a knockout game in the Europa, first gets a bye to the next knockout round in the Europa. So finishing third would result in an easier game, but in a lesser competition.
I think from looking at other posts we are guaranteed one of the following ten:
Roma, Ajax, Villarreal, Leverkusen, Atalanta, Sporting, Slavia Prague, Dinamo Zagreb, Rangers or Rennes.
Guaranteed I tell ya...
The rest is clear as mud
But it's ultimately pointless. These players aren't necessarily any 'better' than any others, there is a large volume of potential talent out there. We sign them because our analytics say they will fit seamlessly into our system, and by doing that, along with our development pathways and so...
That was just a fob off answer from PB. No way he's going to reveal the business plan or announce to all the players they're about to get a pay rise off Caicedo's fee!
Yep, also good points
I also think the question of a player potentially being shit, injured or going on strike - could happen sure, but likely outweighed by other players exceeding their value either in transfers or playing ability, and not being lost on a free as you say
£10m a year might seem huge, but in 8 years it may be fairly standard. Flip it around and Cheksea might be getting these players fairly cheap in the long run.
Well of course he was, he's paid by the agents to put their information out there. Most journalists are paid by the readers of the news, by subscribers, but his content is free. So he'll be being paid by those that want the news out there, the agents or the clubs. No doubt we could avail...
Maybe we are the ones using Fab for once? Surely his whole business model isn't getting clicks and likes but being paid to release information. Must of the time its agents paying to get stories out there but i guess clubs would do it too.
Newcastle would be an amazing spot for him to end up. They've built a really good team but are still playing Burn at LB, can see Cucurella regaining his Brighton form in that set up.
Rather sickening to see how savvy Newcastle are being with their oil billions....
Sure, an almost entirely new team and a new manager. But they are all very young players, with amazing talent. Give them a couple of years and they'll be title challengers i reckon.
If we were a bank, Brighton. If we were a football team, Chelsea.
But the deal is not in isolation, as other players will get opportunities to become as good at Caidedo is.
They'll fail though, the best player in our history.
Our record with Caicedo in the team must be amazing. His arrival...
