Just to stick up for Big Belly / Footsoldier here.
I attended a nice bbq weekend before last and was told that he donated a driver ( rather apt for this thread ) to the REMF golf day which was auctioned for 300 quid. That shows a very, very caring side.
Let's cut him some slack, he's obviously...
Funny you say that LB.
I turned 50 the other week and am receiving Parker pens from everywhere 'just for applying' .
The only problem is I can't remember where I've put them
Spoke to young Tay a couple of hours ago in Hailsham or patronisingly similar and it was mad over there.
Looks looks it's popping up the East coast and not coming our way tonight.
I'm not saying at all that we can't get 'decent' replacements in.
What I am saying is that if people think because we've sold 12 mill worth then we'll spend that much on the 'decent' replacements, then they're in cloud cuckoo land.
We''ll only spend 5 of that, minimum.
The playing side will...
Spot on.
And as for the 12 mill in the bank, that's a laugh.
I doubt very much whether we'll see even 5 of that put back in to the playing side of things.
Yep, the players and staff absolutely admire Burke the boot.
They're genuinely so grateful that he's there.
If the tea lady was nice to Gus once, she's next on the hit list.
No way am I happy about this.
As Kev says, 7 million of quality out and 7 quids worth of something else in.
Happy? I'm chuffed to blooming bits., and bet your bottom dollar that Burke the boot is too now he's got rid of another Gus man.
Cobblers.
Not really Martyn.
Every time saville procured children for Edward Heath, he had to wear a Jersey.
Oh, and while you're at it, google Lord Mountbatten and Jimmy Savile together.
