I'm still against the restart of the season but fully understand the financial implications for not proceeding. I'm about a five at present, as someone who hasn't got Sky or BT and with pubs closed I'm not going to be able to watch any Albion games.
I've always preferred to go to the games...
Before the break I was quite optimistic, thought we showed great character away at Sheff Utd and Wolves and looked a hard team to beat.
Without staying the obvious we need a few goals from somewhere.
be interesting to see who plays, Biss had a good game at Wolves, do we play Propper with...
Reading this thread I hope the players and coaching staff are a tad more positive about the restart than the majority on here.
As previously stated I'm an anti about the restart but the time is right to move on a support the club. I'm sure the players aren't convinced but have no alternative...
I'm totally against the restart of the season however now it looks like it is going to happen I feel we should try to embrace it and support the team as best we can.
I haven't got Sky so will rely on highlights or streams so it won't be anywhere near the normal match day experience following...
In which case can they ask the referee to do the same thing as the tackles will be dangerous. This new rule would have put years on my playing days as I normally took the player and not the ball.
I was always coached in all sports to keep my eye on the ball how things have changed.
Please...
Spoke to a Millwall player today, they are back in training Monday with a maximum of two players per pitch. Didnt appear very happy with the situation. Mentioned some overseas players have returned home and would have to self isolate for two weeks further delaying any potential restart.
I'm sure the football authorities are in financial negotiations with the TV companies and sponsors. Weeks ago I heard a suggestion that all monies are released for the 19/20 season for clubs to pay the bills but offer a reduced package for future years until we get back to where we were.
I'm...
From reading various news feeds to me it appears no one has got a clue of future events of football.
Is it pure guesswork from the media? Have the football authorities actually come up with a plan? Is the decision going to be made by the Government?
Everything appears to be so conflicting...
Good points well made, it's not going to be a straightforward yes / no vote.
Any ideas of cut off dates and potential options on the table?
Really it needs FIFA or UEFA to come off the fence and make the decision.
Thanks, if you were the owner of Norwich, Watford, Aston Villa, West Ham, Bournemouth and Albion (ie. the bottom six) you wouldn't vote to complete the season. Probably the same for Newcastle and Southampton who are still in the relegation mix. The potential loss is far too great.
That's the...
Just had a delivery so over the last two days put in new potatoes, onions, leeks, squash and sun flowers. My business closed for a month and the allotment was my salvation.
Need to get a few plants and hoping garden centres will reopen soon for my sanity.
Sorry if I added to your annoyance but firstly it is all about money, many on here have been furloughed taking pay cuts of a minimum of 20% and in some cases a lot more. Players rightly or wrongly who earn a shed load more than anyone I know don't appear to be realistic enough to take the cuts...
The reason must be one thing MONEY, Sky hold a gun to the head and say "we won't pay you in full" and the club's crap themselves as the players rightly or wrongly won't take a sensible pay cut.
We have to get it into our heads no one gives a toss about the paying fans it's all about Sky and...
Well if White is linked with Man City money talks and we'll well him for over the odds money.
We can't compete financially with the big boys, take the money and invest into the squad, money us going to be short for clubs in the current climate.
