Being an oldie I remember another Rochdale final game of the season. In 1972 nearly 35,000 rammed the Goldstone to see us take the point needed to secure promotion from Division 3.
As already stated by others , the summer comings and goings will alter my reality check.
I guess at this moment to stay top 10 and have a good cup run will be OK
Interesting to see that Palace's only notable win this season was at home to Villa (and that was in August) . They crashed out of both cups early and have stayed up by beating the mid and lower sides. However , credit to them , there are some bigger clubs than them who would love to swap league...
A nice and reasoned post.
I think Newcastle used to be many peoples second team - maybe because it is a one city team , fanatical support and they never won anything ! :ROFLMAO: But nowadays no-one likes a sporting threat so get used to being disliked but get used to winning.
Not a lover of Sheffield Wednesday but you have to say well done to their manager and players for turning that around. Not so to their fans who racially abused the manager and slagged off the team after the first leg.

All very reasonable arguments for Europe.
However, West Ham have played 14 Conference League games so far in Europe this season and have only just pulled away from relegation. They have a bigger squad than us and a bigger spend, so I do fear we will struggle. With the defeats against Forest...
I think we will sneak 7th but secretly I don't want us in Europe next season - with the possibility of losing some of our better players I think it would be a step too far at the moment. I would prefer 8th and another good crack at the League and domestic cups next season.
