    Jimmy Greaves

My greatest football hero of all time. Was lucky enough to be there when he scored that famous goal against Man Utd in the mid-1960s and Spurs won 5-1.

    New strikers next season,

Goalscorers are the top priority. With a goal or two each game, we would have challenged for the play-offs again. Look at our goals against column - almost as good as Derby and Ipswich, better than Brentford and Wolves. Once we had scored a couple, we would have been very difficult to peg back...

summer rebuilding will we start early this time round?

I notice you all seem to be assuming we are playing in the Championship next season. If not, won't COG, CMS and a few others be worth keeping on, as many people seem to think League 1 is their level ?

    Loan players, any point?

Paynter, Vokes, Razak, Gonzales, Lita, Obika, Bennett E, Ledesma, Gardner ? And that's just the Amex years !

[Albion] Largest ever Albion Fan Attendance?

I was in that crowd - 50 years ago this month. Don't think there were many no-shows among the ST holders for that game so 31,423 were actually there !

    Rotherham player ratings

Can't disagree with most of this. Perhaps a bit harsh on Dunk - and also on CMS & Teixeira, who had little time to show anything much.

    Can Someone Please Explain

Not just knobs, but also, as with many fans, like SHEEP. Hence the following: Copying each other by tattooing every inch of their arms, Spending their money on silly hair styles Buying ridiculous third team strips Singing songs that they heard their rivals singing the week before Kissing shirt...

International Day of Happiness: Does sport make us happy?

Make you happy ? Have you ever tried being happy watching the Albion at the Amex recently ? Mind you I'm happy on the long ride home if they have won.

    Rip dave mackay ?

I saw him play several times for Spurs in the early 60s. That was another world, football-wise, compared to today. Sendings off then were hardly ever seen and no subs either. That Spurs team was the only thing that has ever come close to attracting me away from supporting the Albion.

How to turn the non-legends wall into a legends wall in one easy step.

To me, to be a real LEGEND, the subject needs to be dead and I didn't see them play. So the only genuine one for me is Joe Leeming !!! (see my avatar)

Changes to the Current Football Rules

Too many games are ruined by senseless sendings off. Second yellow card should = sin binning. Players straight red carded should be sent off, but substitutes allowed. Player sent off gets longer ban though (ie punishes the player NOT the team and the fans)

Changes to the Current Football Rules

No subs should be allowed after the additional time board has been shown.

The best all time Amex starting eleven to date

Seems there is much agreement on this. However, 3 or 4 of them would probably spend much of the season off sick !

    Wolf Hall

Having read both books and studied the History a bit, I find it really superb. I would sympathise with those who have come to it "cold" though - probably seems slow moving and hard to follow.
