The east stand 2nd tier will add quite a bit of capacity. When you see photos of the East stand you don't really see just how deep the 2nd tier will be (though it will have to taper as it goes into the corners as per the WSU.
I wonder why they decided not to make the most of the roof height at the north & South ends of the ground and make the terracing a bit stepper. That way we would not have the big expanse of wall behind the back row, and I guess got a few more rows of seats in? Maybe something to do with future...
I was surprised by the number of plod they rolled out for this game. I guess they needed the overtime?
I wonder if the Sussex police will decide the Amex will need manning in the same sort of numbers?
If it did not have the small end it would be an amazing stadium. I was surprised they could not have at least stuck a small 2nd tier at that end just to give the stadium a bit more capacity. Not a bad effort though.
West stand upper should be quite noisy with that nice low roof! I'm really hoping the acoustics works out really well at the AMEX and the noise stays in the ground. I remember when we went to Withdean martin Perry reckoned the natural bowl would make it a noisy place -> how wrong he was!
How can you use the vouchers if you want to book a rail ticket online in advance (to get a discount fare) or from a ticket machine at the station, or to buy saver tickets online for Brighton buses (to save money)?
Getting people away from the AMEX after a match will be hard enough without all...
I'm surprised we have only sold 1300 when we took 2500 to B'Muff and could have sold more. Maybe all these big turnout away games are catching up with our bank balances.
ITV highlights program is shocking. They just show extended highlights of all the games that were live on TV earlier. The post match analysis of the Crawley game was very poor too. They wanted to show how unsporting they thought Crawley were even in the pre match warm-up, but ended up...
Are players actually contracted to an agent? If Bennett was being messed around by his agent could he just tell him to do one and therefore end the problem there and then. I'm really not sure what contractual power (if any) the agent has over a player.
Shame both Orient and West Ham can't both benefit from the Olympic stadium by sharing it. The worst thing for both of them would be if Spurs went there as you would then have 3 teams playing within about 3 miles of each other.
We (able bodied) supporters may whine and moan about how shit Withdean has been, but spare a thought for those who have spent years sat in front of the security hut in all weathers with by far the worst view in the ground - yet still they continued to support the club year after year. The AMEX...
surprised they priced the centre blocks of the WSU so low. It has made it a very attractive place to sit in terms of value for money. It would be good to see the North stand full and noisy though just to get the atmosphere going. just a shame they could not crammed another 1000 seats into that...
I thought one of the reasons why we had to make some 'housekeeping' changes to the original planning application was so that along with other things we complied with the updated disability act? If these are the revised plans (presumably improved) then what were the original plans like?
I sure...
