Leicester effectively one win away from going up after thumping Southampton tonight.
Shootout between Leeds and Ipswich. I think The Tractor Boys will do well to win their remaining three - Hull (a), Cov (a), Huddersfield (h). Shame.
All that money Mudryk. Christ almighty. Though I guess you insert any of several Chelsea players into that sentence.
Would like to see if RDZ could get a tune out of him for us next year, though!
Good to see some improvements on this front. Would still like to see more Albion presence in town - murals, billboards, bunting, whatever it might be. Make it known to visitors that the city prides itself on its football club and vice versa. I appreciate we’ll never reach Napoli levels but the...
I suspect Southampton will have run their race and be settling for the play offs by that game. They have to win their next two, which includes Leicester away, and hope that two of the following happen:
- Leeds drop points in their next game
- Ipswich drop points in at least two of their games...
It’s an interesting point. I’d like to see how many we had in the top 150 last year.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Villa/West Ham/Arsenal suffer more next year, especially if lots of their players are off to the Euros.
I think a couple of our injuries this season could have stemmed from players...
True to an extent, though I guess you could argue if we used the cash to recruit in the areas many have mentioned on this thread last summer or in January, we wouldn’t be needing to do as much business this summer.
If - as some have predicted - some knockdown transfer fees are available, then...
I’m still behind RDZ and would be disappointed if he’s not here next season, he is an excellent tactician and has clearly improved many players in his time here.
There have been games this season where he has got things wrong. He should’ve adapted from his usual style a bit earlier (notably...
We’ve been saying it for months, RDZball (at least in an attacking sense) is heavily reliant on two proper wingers. Unfortunately, none of our back-up wingers are close to Mitoma or March in that out-and-out wide man role.
Enciso and Lamptey out. Would be interesting if the journos asked if these injuries have occurred during training or if they’re just niggles from previous injuries.
Enciso’s been back a few weeks now but it’s been very stop start.
The fact they spent such an obscene amount of money on him means it’ll be hard to get him for a value price. If they were looking to offload his wages for a year, and we were looking another marquee loan signing, then I’d definitely have him over Fati again.
Good spot. Was going by a site that listed it in game week order, forgot that it was a rearranged game. Have edited.
Yeah that was a great weekend. Survival confirmed on the Saturday and Brighton Festival kicked off. Booze up in the sunshine on the Sunday at Arsenal away, nicked a point off...
Possibly. We were utterly dreadful in that run-in.
We beat Palace away courtesy of two wonder goals from Murray and Knockeart, then never looked like winning again for the remaining 7 games. We drew our way to safety with some of the most negative, turgid football I’ve ever seen (Wolves away...
