very kind, would be great to meet up for a game at some point!
i'm in west hollywood... not been here long at all and travel so much for work that i'm not here all that much, but loving it so far! (missing the football, aside, which is particularly grating at the moment!)
As suggested in the expats watching Donny thread, it'd be great to get a full list of North American Seagulls and locations together - would be great to form into a group and when games are on TV or people are in others' cities we can arrange some meat-ups perhaps!
Let's get a list going and...
already on the list but another one in the US here.
now LA based and absolutely gutted to missing the first games at the AMEX after we fought so long for it! brings a tear to the eye just looking at everyone's photos and incredibly excited to see it on the TV on saturday!
been meaning to see...
this is such an excellent idea!! massive props to the you and the club for this!
as someone pretty devastated that I can't be at the amex opening events or get back to the UK regularly for games, things like this are really great, thank you!! :)
i second manhattan beach as the place to go.
santa monica is more of a regular downtown if you want mainstream shopping, etc but manhattan beach is a really nice spot, beach is nicer, good food and some boutiquey shops. i'd rent a cheap car or take a cab and hang out there for a couple of days!
does anyone have commentary + footage from hereford? the one thing i've NEVER been able to find is reinelt's goal, with the radio sussex commentary on it. that would really be something to have...
i've got random youtube clips but EXCELLENT work putting this together!! gonna watch over and over.
and as terrible as we were at the time, i used to love watching storer getting up and down the wing. like was said, really an OGH type that gave his all whatever the circumstances. definitely one...
Sorkin is definitely what made it great for me, though i'll watch anything he writes and absolutely love it. Just finished 'Studio 60' for a 2nd time around.... legendary writer.
never done gracelands but sun studios is well worth a visit!
there's some fun neighbourhoods to hang out in in memphis too, though some of it is a little shady.
some great bbq spots in town too.. corky's and central bbq are both worth a rib or two :)
whether it's the final design or not, this wouldn't definitely point towards a return to the round crest, which is bloody great!!!
to be honest, i dont care what font or lettering is on it, just so long as we get the round badge back! :)
never knew him, but his posts were always worth reading and i find this terribly heartwrenching.
just shows what a community this is, that even people that don't know each other can come together to try and help at a time like this.
RIP, so awfully sad.
