[Albion] Team for Wolves - 18.09.24 League Cup

I definitely would give Hinsh a rest for this one. Hes still only 19 and missed the end of last season with a stress injury. He's played every PL game so far and with the England U21s. Really useful player but I still think he needs his minutes managed. Ferdi and Pervis at full back, to see...

[Albion] Georginio Rutter - singed 19/8/24

Thought that when he came off for Enciso that was when we started losing the midfield battle. Not that he was particularly brilliant but certainly more of a presence.

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Ipswich Town *** Official Match Thread ***

Don't agree on either front. We had our chances but were wasteful, particularly Mitoma and Minteh. I'd like to see Adingra get a start next time out. But if not for some excellent goalkeeping we'd have won probably 2-0. Baleba in particular had a great match. Ipswich showed they can defend...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Ipswich Town *** Official Match Thread ***

Amex sounding as quiet as I've ever heard it, at least from the TV. Still confident that we'll wear Ipswich down second half. Already dominating, then bring on the likes of Adingra and Enciso to punish tired legs.

Appalling defending from Saints. They're so naive under Russell Martin.

    [Albion] U21s v Reading U21s 7.30pm Tonight

Let's hope so, but keep the pressure off them. After all we said the same things about Molumby, Connolly, Jenks, Roberts etc. who were all looking extremely promising at the same age.

Is Samuels still U21, or has he been left off?

And a great volley for the hat-trick! Well done, Peupion. Very effective second half, he showed me. Keep going like this and surely theres a good loan move for him at least in January.

    [Albion] U21s v Reading U21s 7.30pm Tonight

Has he had many injury problems perhaps? I've been impressed with how good he is at holding up the ball and resisting the press from defensive midfield. Passing has been a bit hit and miss, but great physical presence and body positioning to protect possession.

    [Albion] U21s v Reading U21s 7.30pm Tonight

As though he spent half time reading our criticism on here, Peupion pops up to score. Lovely quick passing from Bashir and Flower to find Peupion in space and he places it past the keeper in the bottom corner. I've liked the look of Bashir and Owusu this evening, not seen much of these two before.

    [Albion] U21s v Reading U21s 7.30pm Tonight

I can only assume the same as you. Our fleet of loan youngsters are competing with fleets of loan players from the rest of the Premier League for a limited number of available spots in the lower leagues. After some failed loans last season, maybe the potential clubs just didnt fancy them. I'm...

    [Albion] U21s v Reading U21s 7.30pm Tonight

All Albion so far, but no goals. Peupion keeps wanting too many touches. Owusu very involved from deep midfield.

    [Albion] Fabian Hürzeler **SINGED 15/06/2024**

But surely if you win Manager of the Month, the only way not to have a dip after is to win Manager of the Month again? And given that winning MOTM requires a near perfect record within that month, you would have to have a near perfect record for the whole season to not have a "dip"? Self...

That's the problem with quark based puns, they have their ups and downs.

[Albion] Deniz Undav **Gone To Stuttgart 09/08/24**

Strangely I find myself without any ill feeling towards Deniz, even though he spent the summer doing effectively the same thing as Trossard and Cucurella did agitating for a move and bitching to the media about the club. Maybe it just feels less barbed because he wasn't really needed for us.

    [Albion] International call ups

João Pedro has been the best player on the pitch since coming on, and that includes Vinicius, Rodrygo, and the rest of Brazil's big names. Changed the game, Brazil much more dangerous, but still no goal. They'll be asking him back.

    [Albion] International call ups

João Pedro on at half time, immediately creates a chance for Rodrygo. There are three (almost, kind of) Brighton players on the pitch in a competitive Paraguay v Brazil game. We've come a long way from Withdean. In Pinheiros, not made it down to Morumbi yet, but I have another week and a half...
