Banners
We 'bannered' all the flyover bridges from Hickstead to Patcham and along the A27 to Falmer as part of our Operation Barry Bridges FFA campaign, on the eve of the Labour Party conference. Sadly all our 15+ banners had been removed by the following morning :( :(
Man City ballot
Yes same here - shame they couldn't keep those groups for this game, given that we lost out for Wolves & Arsenal.
7,500 tickets for 22,000 STHs - are the groups different sizes this time around?
Looking forward to shouting 'get the bloody camera up' for the final time -...
MUFC protests
the rule changes that now prevent owners selling grounds with no contingency is the primary lasting outcome. Er very flattering, but to my knowledge this is not in place. I had suggested to Graham Kelly that the FA should put a charge against every league ground in the country -...
We pressed the publicity button at every opportunity - and that was of course before wall-to-wall Sky Sports tv. The Euros 96 was a big thing for the FA and that's why David Davis stepped in to urge change and support from the FA for CEDR talks. My message to all MUFC & LFC fans looking to...
In any business, you cut your coat according to your cloth. So if your costs are spiralling out of control resulting in losses, you slash your costs.
Meaning that on player contract renewal, or on new player recruitment, you slash the player wages. So if the so called Big 6 did that, other...
Apple Macbook issue
Thank you for all your help - now sorted, big up for iMend in Upper Beeding & iDoctor4U in Guildford. Phew a lucky and relatively cheap escape. Lesson learnt.
I have a second hand mint condition 2017 Apple Macbook Pro - which I bought on Ebay in November. All absolutely fine until this week, suddenly when turning on, we get a request for a 6 character password. We don't have any such password, I have contacted previous owner - again nothing.
Apple...
Blimey, that's exactly (game by game) how I've got it on my spreadsheet too :) I've got Fulham ending up on 34, 1 point ahead of Newcastle who are relegated. Burnley 42, Southampton 45.
STs Renewals
Yes I saw this last night.....
Question : You pay the £20 and 'share your ST' for > 25% matches, but the named holder him/herself doesn't attend the minimum 25% (because of university, sabbaticals, living away, travel (!) etc). Will that mean that the ST renewal will be turned...
Penalty
It's arguable that Welbeck's contribution in not bringing down Ayew in the last minute on Monday night and missing the penalty today has cost us 2 points - more importantly widened the gap on Palace & narrowed the gap on WBA.
Same here. That's exactly what I did - I was screaming at Welbeck to foul Ayew. He ran with him from inside their half and nothing. Absolutely spot on re Veltman. Wife not impressed with our language and thankfully it wasn't the summer with all our windows open. Tears in the eyes and a poor...
Fans' Forum
I was very concerned (and PB agreed with me) that the Premier League & Football League have not agreed what should happen to Clubs, so far as promotion/relegation & European places are concerned, in the event of any future season being prematurely curtailed. So we started this...
Fine margins indeed
Bang on - such fine margins indeed. But over a season it balances out - the playing style was always strong and good on the eye. Some players have performed poorly and have been 'carried', they have upped their game and we've played with renewed purpose and vigour. A solid...
If we are talking stands at SCCC - can the Club please explain why there isn't a Tony Greig Stand? Is it because the family preferred not for personal reasons? What memorial is planned and when? Tony Greig deserves a significant memorial to him at the County Ground.
Utterly awful and has been poor on a regular basis. Woeful passing - and it wasn't the pitch tonight. He should be attacking the ball with purpose and doing the simple things - like passing to a teammate and creating movement, instead the ball is either miss passed or he runs into cul-de-sacs.
