    [Misc] Random Snowy Request

Hi all, sorry I know this is a bit random, but I also know you kind folks will have the knowledge! My kids finish school today at lunch and I want to take them somewhere for a snowy walk. We are in Hove and there has been bugger all. I see the temps are rising at the weekend so I figured this...

Thanks Knocky and Bad Ash. Yes, pretty pleased with progress, started the year with an aim of getting Sub 20 at 5k! Combo of regular Park Runs, Run Club and less booze has kept me improving. Although, I definitely seem to have peaked at 5k, scratching away at the odd second now and matched my PB...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Chelsea *** Official Match Thread ***

Random and needy request Hi all, I am currently in the Canary Islands and have just realised that my Sky Go account will not work here! Does anyone have any tips on watching the Albion from a Spanish isle?

Looking at this and their performance on Saturday, makes me think Bournemouth are in big danger of going down! Norwich/Villa/Bournemouth I reckon! With a big slide on for Newcastle too! We'll be fine!

Well that didn't go to plan! Despite knee injury that stopped me running for the last 5 weeks and meant I pulled out of Brighton, I still thought I had a sub 4 in me! :ffsparr: Went out way too quick for my current fitness with a 1:58 half and then got cramp about mile 16! I never get cramp! All...

Well done to everyone that ran today! It looked tough out there, especially with the 'orrible wind on the way in. Hope you all rest up well. Will be checking in after London in a couple of weeks!

Whoop whoop! Just been to see the best physio this morning. So thorough and really knew her stuff. She picked up via resistance tests that my Psoas muscle was not functioning properly and that this was causing my right leg to over compensate and put pressure on the knee. She did lots of prodding...

So turns out the issue doesn't appear to be ITB, but more on the fat pad just below the knee cap. Went to see a physio who gave a reasonably mild soft tissue massage on the quads and strapped it up with sports tape. Whatever it is, I am not in pain wakling etc, it just came on when I jogged on...

Blimey this thread is awesome! Thank you all so much for your responses! It's on the outside of my right knee on the right lower side so sounds like it could be ITB. I have a phsyio booked in tomorrow so fingers crossed they can identify the issue and work some magic! Will be trying them...

Hope you are right mate. It felt significant enough to stop running, so just hope it improves with 10 days left and it's manageable on the day. I've done 5 marathons in the past and never quite got under 4 hours, but I am bang on track this time! Will rest and ice as instructed and fingers crossed!

Thanks Ninja! It's really odd as I don't have any discomfort now, and walking, going up and down stairs etc is pain free. When I started to jog earlier it feels fine, but then the discomfort starts to kick in after a few minutes and obviously in my head this will only get significantly worse...

Hello all. Just looking for a bit of advice. Went for my last significant training run last week. Just 18k, but the last 8k at a really decent pace for me around 4m30s km's. The only issue being that I started to feel a twinge in my knee with about 5k left. I should have stopped but I didn't as...
