    [Football] Haaland

I was actually really excited about seeing Ronaldo play in the flesh last season - had to admit didn’t expect him to hardly touch the ball - so I’ve still yet to see him ‘play’ live

[Help] Remote working: anyone know of any opportunities/possibilities?

There are jobs out there but a potential trip hazard that’s happened to colleagues of mine (required them to come back to the office ) is the tax issue of working in different countries - worth checking out before you go down this route. My company has a great flexible working policy - work...

[Albion] It's not just the Amex...

    [Politics] Liz Truss **RESIGNS 20/10/2022**

This is unreal “some of us have stables” and the realisation she’d call the working class “weeds” - you couldn’t make it up.

    [Other Sport] Wasps Rugby Union.

Maybe this might help Coventry City - they could buy back the Ricoh or whatever it is called but I suppose that would depend on how much money they’ve committed to be stadium near Warwick Uni campus

Interesting with football - is the great player who was surrounded by other excellent players (e.g. Pele in the 60s Brazil team) or the great player who carried average/good players to greatness (e.g. Maradona with Argentina in 1986, and Napoli). The real GOAT I probably think is Sir Don...

[TV] Which famous person will you be DISTRAUGHT at losing from this world?

I went to 5 young funerals whilst in my 20s - which believe me was devastating especially when young kids are left behind. I therefore don’t get too upset at those that are old (over70). dying but I ain’t ever speaking at a funeral. I also don’t think I’d get devastated by someone I don’t...

[TV] Which famous person will you be DISTRAUGHT at losing from this world?

Most important is King Charles makes it through to 2024. I expect we’ll get another extra bank holiday for his coronation - I predict May next year (into next financial year) = another bank holiday. If he then dies say summer of 2024 = another bank holiday, then William coronation in 2025 =...

[Football] In Chelsea this is what £12 M + buys you - House

All Chelsea players have to live less than 10mins drive from Cobham training ground so I expect GP will do the same

    [Albion] Chelsea and FFP

On top of transfer fees - I can’t imagine many of the signings were on less than £100k a week

[Football] A genuine question - what did the UK gain from Indian occupation?

Well put, as well as the Clearances in Scotland (not just in the Highlands but across the country), the famine in Irelandy (another form of clearances) people were starving but English Lords still exported grain - which could have avoided the famine.

    [Albion] Next Brighton manager

Tony also stated that the loss of Sammy Lee as his assistant was a big big issue as Sami didn’t know the ‘championship’, Tony didn’t realise how big at the time

[Football] Premier League games this weekend - POSTPONED

I watched a programme on Operation ‘London Bridge’ a few years ago I’m sure all sporting events are to be cancelled during the D+9 days period also limited or no comedy on BBC (definitely no satire), radio music playlists much subdued etc
