That's basically a lot of hot air, just so the sides can say they've agreed a deal.
I think it would be a bad idea for Ukraine to agree to a ceasefire, unless they get into NATO or similar. A ceasefire would just allow Russia to arm and prepare to go again. Any infrastructure rebuilding Ukraine attempted, would just be flattened again when Russia are ready.

I may have missed it but I couldn’t see mention of whether the deal included minerals in Ukrainian territory currently occupied by Russia - which would of course require Trump to persuade his new best friend to withdrawUkraine agrees US minerals deal after Washington drops toughest demands

I think that it has become fairly obvious in the last few weeks, the the Orange man shares many of Putin’s interests.
Trump is a transactional human - the deal is everything - be it with Russia, North Korea anyone, and he has a soft spot for Russia - the “deals” that he has done with them in the past must have been good ones.
And so here we are - our major ally and backer has gone for good - or at least until the Orange one is removed from office.
