Interesting selection for the Whitehawk game and I'm not sure how they will line up defensively. Two left-backs (Mills and Slater), one CB (Penman) and Callum Mackley who is versatile and can play at RB, CB or in MF. Not sure if they are going with a back four or three at the back with wingbacks. Perhaps someone at the match will confirm when play gets underway.

Good to see Belmont back on the bench (his first involvement since December 9th with the U-18s) and I assume the Ferdinand on the bench must be 1st-year scholar Tate as there is already a sub goalkeeper listed (Sebastian Jensen):-

Actually, based upon this pic of two Albion goalkeeper jerseys hanging up, it presumably IS Lorenz on the bench rather than Tate. Two substitute goalkeepers?

I make it a back 3 with wingbacks, but honestly it’s so one sided that it's basically a back one at points.

Cheers - who are the three (presumably Penman, Mackley and ?) and who are the wingbacks?
Unfortunately I’m not a level where I can tell which youth player is which by looking at them*

I’d say it’s 2, 4, 5 at CB with 3 & 7 at wing back, number 3 in particular is ridiculously far forward, he’s ahead of Bashir a lot of the time.

*I did try and look at the board but I don’t think it’ll be much help.

Absolutely steam rollered the Hawks, fair play to Brighton they were ruthless, number 7 for Brighton was superb. If it was at the enclosed it would have been a different game, but alas we were forced to play it in a completely different town with no bar takings and a smaller gate. Horsham v Brighton U21 will not be on the 11th March because they are playing Braintree in the national league cup and that entire semi final will be moved to accommodate. I’m starting to wonder who this competition is for?

Any idea what the attendance was tonight?

And yes I get it, Brighton being in the competition means that a glamour home tie is possible and they get a good gate and it makes the non league sides money. However Whitehawk did not have a good gate, because the game was forced to be played at Lancing, while Brighton zipped it around and won 7-0.

Why was it at Lancing ?

Whitehawk were more than happy to host. Was told it was scheduling due to the fact the senior cup semis needed to be played by a certain date and couldn’t be delayed and didn’t want to risk the pitch leading to a postponement. Except now the Semi has been moved to accommodate Brighton being in the National League Cup, not that Horsham get any say in it if they want it moved if they have a midweek game.
