So? At this stage it doesn't matter what he wants. He's losing his 3 day war against Ukraine and he's lost control of Syria, he's far from capable of fighting the Baltics too. As long as we support Ukraine that is.
Oh, that's alright then. Nothing to worry about.

Indeed.

If we don't support Ukraine enough, Putin's ambition would be to rebuild the USSR and go further still, taking places like Finland too. But as long as we support Ukraine, he's simply not capable of it.
Must admit, you're hot on irony.

Rumor of Trump's plan for peace, which I really hope is wrong. Front line to be frozen by Easter, Ukraine to leave Kursk & accept all the occupied territory is now Russian, Ukraine to never join NATO, European troops to create buffer zone.

To me that just looks like massive Putin win which I can not believe Ukraine wold be able to accept.
And a massive win for Trump. No US troops committed.

Another day another tanker!

And attacking your puppet master and lifeline...... takes 🍿
Russia has a lot of enemies. A lot.

Dozens of countries would have an interest in turning a blind eye or supporting this sort of skullduggery.

Ideally, they’d be hitting all their enemies with cyber attacks, cut cables, funding for far right or Putin sympathiser groups but they clearly don’t have the money or resource to achieve much outside of their evil war.

Ones does wonder if there are any secret British agents actively disrupting the Russian war effort? For example, the fire on the Russian spy vessel in the Mediterranean. This would surely be seen as an act of war if traced back to a particular government/country but I hope we have our best people indirectly masterminding some of these hits.

The really interesting part (if true) is this:

'Calls to prosecute the captain, cut up the ship and distribute the coal to locals'.

So is this a false flag? Or is it a genuine mishap (ship lost power etc), and Russia has jumped on it to discredit the Chinese in an attempt to head off Chinese expansionism in Sakhalin, by offering free coal to locals?

Whoever caused it, Ukrainians, Chinese, Russians themselves or a genuine accident, Russia is worried.

We need that bloke who runs the 'What the ship?' channel. He'll know. He'll have the lowdown on the one in the Baltic as well.

Would be nice, but I suspect we don't need to be involved... Russia do most of by themselves 😉

What's the sauce for this? Sounds like a non starter to me.

It's certainly a good area for these accidents to happen more often 🤞🏻

Interesting programme on BBC2 yesterday, The Balkans: Europe’s Forgotten Frontier with Katya Adler. There's still unwavering support for Putin amongst some in Bosnia.
It's on iPlayer

I think we all knew that, didn't we? (not that it shouldn't be said, mind)
For sure, but I agree with Zelenskiy that it has to keep on being said, as it needs to be said again and again that Putin murdered tens of thousands and abducted thousands of kids, plus other horrendous war crimes.
Maybe it'll turn some key people's minds in favour of Ukraine 👍👍
