Sanchez was shite.
And he was often shit at the worst times. The Palace game was a prime example of how shit he was.

It doesn't really matter which of our PL goalies were better than others.
What matters is that Verbruggen is the worst, or one of the worst keepers currently in the PL.
So what are we going to do about it?
Wait it out? Maybe, he's still very young, he'll likely improve. Or do we throw our lot in with Rushworth? I'm sure we can expect a similar tough bedding in period. Or do we conclude that keeper isn't the position we want to be bringing through 21 year olds in the PL and change tack and bring someone in the summer?

That was an absolute shocker. Most GKs make them sometimes, including the likes of Allison and Ederson.

We would need to acknowledge Carl is at least a year behind in his development. We should expect mistakes from him as well if he comes in.
The way I would be looking at it is for the management to have a proper look at them both in training over a period of weeks and pick whoever of the two is likely to end up playing at the highest level. Then stick with them through thick and thin

Absolutely not Ramsdale.
Verbruggen hasn't benefitted from having no real competition for his place.
Hopefully Rushworth can provide that. We also have Beadle, one of the best young keepers in England, waiting in the wings for next season.

Maybe RDZ was on to something. Bart not quite ready to be trusted as the permanent number 1? Maybe could use a break?
