Seems dangerous however many partake

It must be horrible for the trans athlete not being able to compete through no fault of their own, but there needs to be safe guarding for females
Unfair advantage due to body being suffused with testosterone during the teenage musculoskeletal growth spurt.

It would be nice if common sense rules were elaborated in a non-pejorative way.
That is one aspect of Trumps' narrative that may be lacking (I haven't read the verbatim waffle).

It's a fairly serious issue even if currently it is only a couple of athletes at the moment, problem is there is hardly any sensible debate over it

If you are against it happening - bigot
If you are for it - you want females to get hurt

Which are clearly untrue in most people.

Blimey, now you put it like that it's hard to know whether I'm for or against.

Did you see him talking about a trans athlete winning the 800 mile Arizona trail race which he described as “a big thing in the cycling world”. I googled it. I think we have different views on what constitutes a big thing in sport.
He probably thinks a wank is a big thing in the lovemaking world.

The Palestinians being dumped in Israel while Trump takes ownership of Gaza for himself would be a fairly typical Trump outcome for something like this, shaft your partner and leave them to pick up the mess while you take the spoils.
Maybe Trump is a simply a big fan of Paul Gascoigne and would like a replica shirt with his name on it?

Fox news are rowing back on Trump's 'take over Gaza' promise: "Maybe Trump isn't trying to take Gaza. Maybe this is a grand part of a negotiation; to get Iran to come to the table; to get Iran to hold back the proxies; to get Iran to stop it's nuclear warfare on the world. My lesson to the media: President Trump is playing 4 dimensional chess - you all, are playing checkers."

He probably knows more about wanking than anyone else in history. Many people have told him that they were shocked about how much expertise he had in wanking. He's probably the best at it in the world right now.

If I were American I'd be in tears about what he's doing to the country.
I had a rather major falling out with a friend who lives in California at the weekend.

Yes, yes there's a good reason why we shouldn't discuss politics and religion, but we did.

Celebrating the wrecking ball that he's smashing through many Federal structures that are vital for so many and seeing nothing untoward in the world's richest man actively looking to destroy the organisation that provides food, water and medicine for the world's very poorest and most needy is just wrong.

I kinda lost it after a while.

There's many tens of millions who, right now at least, think all of this is justified.

Shouldn't be surprised, but f***ing hell, there's evidence of the hypocrisy of the man. Supports building of casinos and nightlife in a Muslim region. And yet his thoughts on foreigners integrating in the UK:

"Challenged about the economic benefits of migration and its contribution to the economy, Farage said: “Even if somebody argues overall our GDP has grown, there is more to this country and the makeup of communities and our way of life frankly than just GDP figures.”

Asked if he could name any places changed culturally by immigration, Farage said: “Well, we haven’t got time but if we went to virtually every town up eastern England and spoke to people about how they felt their town or city had changed in the last 10 to 15 years there is a deep level of discomfort because when you have immigration at this sort of level then integration doesn’t happen.”"

They need their own category or compete with other biological males

It is totally unfair on women however few the numbers
While I agree with you, I cant help but wonder why we are all being asked to endlessly discuss this?

Given the numbers are so few.

Women's sport has never been so talked about. it's such a shame it's just to attack trans people.

No wonder you fell out. If I was an American I'd be more than a little pissed-off about some stuck-up Brit celebrating those things.

Of course you are right the number of trans people is tiny but the affect on women's sport is huge

You literally only need one male tennis fella in the top 200 saying they are a woman and they are the winner of Wimbledon

That is a big thing

I hope now Trump (and most sports) have now ruled this out we can just talk about women's sport

I'll wager that once this is sorted out (I suspect it isnt yet) we will be talking about women's sport a whole lot less.

In my opinion, it’s because when the likes of Lia Thomas began competing this conversation had not been had. There was no frame of reference or “case law” for how trans athletes would fare competing in top level sports. There was quite literally no measure of fairness until groups campaigned against it on the sporting principles of fairness.

The conversation is happening because there were no rules in place before, and when this happens again, rules need to be in place for fairness for everyone, including the trans athlete(s).

It’s better to be prepared with rules and regulations clearly defined for everybody than wait for the next big controversy.
