No surprises from me - The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society.
Bought it when it came out and played it to death. Whilst it has become a cult album over the years, it did nothing at the time - I couldn’t believe it. It’s a nostalgic tale of times gone by and everyday countryfolk.

I know it was Dec 85 as still have the ticket, £6.50, those were the days.
Still one of my favourite albums ever. Lord of Light, Brainstorm, and Master of the Universe are space-rock classics.
And a band called Beltane Fire were support!You have a better memory than me,
For some reason my memory is good on this.

Yes - I bought that 2009 album after reading reviews of it - and it was magnificent. Since then I've bought each of their albums (but none earlier) and not found them as good (though Can't Touch Us Now was pretty good too).
I saw Suggs on one of his spoken-word tours and he was good fun, even if does support Chelsea.
