My 2 cents is that I don't think the players like FH. This is based on nothing other than what I've seen at games and in the new behind the scenes content we now get. I don't see a bond there at all.

Remember when players would absolutely GUSH over RDZ and Potter in the media? Not much of that now either.

I'm not 100% FAB out, but I think the players are, I think we'll have a stinking end to the season and I think he'll be gone.

I hope he makes this post look idiotic. But I don't think he will.
I get that gut feel too. The videos are actually quite insightful.
The one that made me cringe the most was the dressing room one after the Old Trafford win.
‘Guys, what I want now is consistency, guys and togetherness’. What does this actually mean to a footballer. You can’t force togetherness, you create it. You don’t throw players under the bus like FH has done. RDZ used to say repeatedly that he loved his players. FH has the emotional intelligence of a robot.
We’d just won at O/T. Where’s the celebration, where’s the love and appreciation. I know players are paid a lot of money but they are just young blokes who need to be led, by a leader that has tactical nous, organisational ability and the emotional intelligence to know when to give them a bit of love when it’s required, and a closed door bollocking when needed ( eg RDZ after the Everton 1/5 game)
Maybe I’ve got this all wrong. We’ll see in the next few games. I expect a response on Saturday whatever as the players pride will have been severely dented.

Must admit, I found it a bit strange that he waa banging on about “togetherness” - suggests there’s been a lack of it. Otherwise, why say it? Was all a bit more Ricky Gervais than Roberto De Zerbi, though most team talks look a bit shit to be fair. Guys.

I did enjoy this revealing of the source on Friday though.

Great gag. But here we have absolute proof that people can be ITK, not reveal their source and get it correct. He was bang on.

The downside is, of course, that we were all discussing it on the train so Nuno was no doubt planning for it.

But I do hope the Swede and other “you can’t possibly know that” types on here read and understand this post.

He goes on about intensity and consistency all the time too.
Never delivers on it.

He may say togetherness, but he definitely implies that the players aren't delivering on what he needs from them.

Can't say I've warmed to the bloke.

My personal take, now it is late Sunday....

Fab has shit hair.
If I were a player I absolutely could not take seriously a bloke with his anal hair transplanted onto his bonce.
The same curse has affected Rooney.
That and Rooney being a fat lazy thick oaf, obviously

Fab is not fat, thick or lazy.

But he does have shit hair.
And weird eyes.

Sorry, but having defended him, I am now out. OUT! Out.
Out.

This is a great post. But just to counter your point. RDZ and (pre-glow-up) GP also had very shit hair.

I hoped there were team talks for the camera, and then proper team talks behind closed doors...but I fear I'm wrong.

You forgot 'win the individual battles guys'. I'd actually prefer it if they never showed these team talks!!

Tony Bloom must be the most naive chairman in the PL given everyone knows what’s going on apart from him 🤷🏻‍♂️
If anything is going on, in pretty sure he knows about it. But he does have a track record of giving managers time. He also brought in the new assistant to Fab so that's a significant recent addition that would be unusual to back away from now.

Remember how long Hyypia got and rumours were he offered to resign earlier in the year and was talked out of it. Potter was given more time than many felt he deserved. Although Tony does appear to have one weakness which is for the Latin type. It's a combustible relationship but always blows up quickly.

Agreed, but he doesn’t strike me as the type of bloke to make the same mistake 2 or 3 times. Especially when each finishing position is worth ££££

Whatever our feelings about FH, the players need to know the fans are behind them. I always think a ten minute rendition of ‘Tony Blooms’s Blue and White army’ shows them that we support them, and the owner. It can also have an indirect message to the coach too.

It’s not exactly unique for a manager to motivate players by publicly questioning their attitude or the way the team functions. If it is followed by positive results then everyone in hlndsight says what a master stroke. Great man manager.
As to the stuff about team talks. Did anyone actually watch Parkinson’s on the Wrexham documentary ? He basically said f*** and f***ing with a handful of other words added in. Not much fake motivational speech there.
