Have I missed something somewhere?

A lot of posts seem to indicate that Ferguson actively wants to leave and/or is attempting to force his own departure.

Are there any reports indicating that?

The Albion being willing to sell at the right (and high) price does not necessarily mean Ferguson himself is trying to engineer an escape.

I haven’t been following the discussion on this thread but I posted Andy Naylors story earlier on the transfer thread and has led to a lot of speculation - Andy Naylor writing for the Athletic suggested that Brighton was ”open to bids” for a permanent transfer for Ferguson - saying we already had a bid turned down.

People then putting 2 and two together to make five - ie ‘something must be wrong’ if we are selling him!.

My response to the Naylor piece was that it neither meant Evan had fallen out with FH nor that the Club had decided to sell him. We are always ‘open for bids’.

We lost a home game, the world is ending. Less flippantly, there is a growing undercurrent on here that FH has lost the dressing room, or at the very least has fallen out with various player Dunk / Welbeck / Enciso / Ferguson, with zero evidence. It could just be a symptom of us not winning a game of football from time to time, I have no idea if there's any truth in it.

If ‘ITK’ nsc’ers blame RDZ for Ferguson’s lack of goals last season, playing him through injury.

Please will the same insiders reveal why Ferguson’s complete game is awful in season 2024/25?
Two MASSIVE whacks to his ankle @18. Sublime form at that time. Looked after by a now removed medical team. New coach. New medical team. Only 20!!!! Not overcome physical or psychological trauma. Yeah, get rid. FFS.

All I know is that we haven’t won at home since November and Ferguson isn’t rated by our manager as he doesn’t think he’ll score goals.

Either one of them is shit and should go or they both are.

Perhaps Ferguson should play the next home game, score a brace and show us that Fab can mastermind wins.

Just a thought.

When has he said he doesn't think he'll score goals?

Hasn't he been injured for the last month or so?

I do feel like over the last few years for some fans this club has become more about transfers than actually developing talent. Are we just writing Evan off because we can bring in a shiny new toy, I don't find that particularly interesting, the whole point of building this academy was to build talent that would be here for years firing us to glory.

I'm hoping that the club saying they are "open to permanent offers" just means - well if someone bids silly money then lets have a look. Rather than ...he's for sale. Still think he's going on loan.

I love Evan, wish he'd had more game time, don't want him to leave (permanently) and don't think he will , but the truth is , he has scored once in 15 months - despite playing a lot of football
How much of those 15 months has he been fully fit, the last time he was fully fit, from memory was Athens Away, before that he was doing absolutely fine.

Yup, going full Chelsea. So many on social media getting excited about the prospect of signing Tzimas, who really might not end up as good / better than Ferguson.

We are so dependent on Welbeck - old, good but never prolific in his career, Pedro skilled but mecurial, Rutter skilled but not known as a striker
We cant score goals at home.
I would like to see Ferguson given decent time to play for BHA when fit

Guardian story from a few minutes ago
"Interested clubs are under the impression that a permanent deal is not on the table."

Not sure why people are suddenly speculating that we are wanting to sell him anyway.

I expect a few clubs have approached us (including Potter) but being ‘open to bids’ as Naylor tweeted earlier, is not saying we will sell or even intend to - getting a feel for his market value may even be part of the Club negotiating an appropriate loan agreement for him.

I remember how angry he was after the final whistle in Amsterdam.
Angry like a man who had been targeted by thugs who got away with it.

My guess is all the rumours are a mountain of old bollocks.

He's been shit for a long time. Take someone's money and run.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he'll be playing in League One in 5 years time.
You've been shitter for a longer time.

And, f*** me, you're still here

Edit....and now on ignore.

How do we benefit? We sell one of our best young talents and he fires West Ham up the table potentially, ABOVE US? What benefit do we get?
We don’t get any benefit. The man that has been putting his hand into his deep pockets to financially support the Albion from Withdean days gets some of his money back.

I say we get no benefit, but we get the benefit of not being owned by foreign investors with no previous affiliation as a result of this strategy.
