But this is it, the problems that everyone is claiming to be seeing on here won’t be solved with a new manager and new system. The only decision that I am unsure was the right one, is the decision to move on RDZ in May. For whatever reasons that had to happen according to the club.
We should bin him off now so someone else has got time to bed in before the summer. This season's a write off now anyway
What’s that got to do with my post? After McKenna turned us down, widely reported.
You must have some seriously RDZ tinted glasses if you can’t see that he had to move on and entirely the right decision for all concerned. But this is it, the problems that everyone is claiming to be seeing on here won’t be solved with a new manager and new system. No chance with this clown in charge.Yeah. There's only 45 points to play for and we are a huge 6 points off European football.
It simply can't be done.
Yep. RDZ left 18 May, think McKenna was supposed to have been interviewed late May, seem to remember the panic on here we hadn't appointed anyone before Hurzeler's name came up then appointed later on in June.“is the decision to move on RDZ in May”
I’m emphasising or reminding that we only chose FH, after McKenna turned us down … apparently. In case that’s forgotten in this discussion. It wasn’t a case of throughout winter/spring 24 as the season carried on sh1t, that the club were all in on the chosen one FH.
Another manager turned us down after McKenna. Can’t remember who.
Ok, my point is I’m not 100% sure regardless of McKenna whether moving on RDZ was the right decision, as the manager market was poor, but for whatever reason it had to happen.“is the decision to move on RDZ in May”

Just the way the club operates, and the fact it seemed one of RDZ's big gripes was not getting his way on transfers, is that most of our business was done or being agreed before Fab was in his office. Unlikely he had much say on the summer recruitment I would have thought.
If it doesn’t feel like we’re still making progress, potentially add Verbruggen, Mitoma and Van Hecke as a minimum to the list of players who might attract interest and feel they could do better for themselves. But we’ve also acquired a lot of players for £200M with not much experience and all very young. No one is really in the prime of their career. All from leagues a long way off the PL as well. This season was very much a bedding in season for me. The big risk is we lose Pedro and Baleba in the summer and back to square one

I heard this being mentioned on Seagulls Social. Definitely needs some punishment but if Minteh was fit and sober I’d rather Hurzeler stuck with his original line up and gameplan rather than changing things (for the worse with hindsight) at the last minute. Fine him later, or abuse him in training, don’t unsettle things further on matchday.Would you suggest that Minteh shouldn't have been punished for turning up an hour late then?
