[Albion] Why wouldn't you start with Georginio and Minteh..

To give a serious answer rather than the piss take above, that's rank bad management. If that's why he's dropped, it should be kept in house. It sounds like a manager trying to protect himself and not the player.
The club has declined to comment on this.

I assume this information has not come from Huerzeler

So apparently according to Naylor, Minteh was left out as he arrived late today.

That does put a different perspective on things.
It feels to me like a pathetic move by the club to throw a kid under the bus following an abysmal team performance where he barely played.

We really are becoming classless in how we manage the media and communications.

The article literally says the club declined to comment

...when at home to a side in the bottom half and when both were excellent the previous week?

I don't understand 'the process'.
FH made a big mistake with team selection today , why would you drop YM after his performance last week ,
and why the hell does he play Gruda , does not contribute anything to the team performance

Exactly. Don’t be so naive.

It’s appalling communications management by the club and appalling management of the player. Really, really embarrassing, particularly after a performance like that, to try to pass the buck.
Not as embarrassing as this. How often does Naylor put stuff like that? Almost never.

It’s come from someone unofficially would be my guess

Well it isn't a guess.

It is undeniably a fact that it has come from someone unofficially.

Naylor should be close to all of the chat around the club, and has chosen to disclose this.
That's his prerogative.
It does answer the question though.

Which would be fine if you used them effectively. But Gruda was so bad he had to come off and we bafflingly replaced him with Rutter who was always going to try and occupy the same places as Pedro. We filled the centre of the pitch, which Everton wanted to fill anyway. We played Veltman at left centre back in a three out of possession. Then replaced him with Baleba. Then moved Pedro there and stuck Webster up front. That wasn’t impact substitutes. It was a four year old with his first FM save.

Literally the worst tactical coaching performance I’ve seen since Sami.
It was a bit shambolic. This has happened quite a few times with FH - especially earlier on In the season with lots of shuffling and reshuffling and trying to get messages on and people looking baffled.

Big shouting Match between Dunk JPvH and FH at one point. Ended with Dunk waving him away quite dismissively.

Picking a pointless and immobile Gruda in front of a slow Veltman as your right sided option against a team you know will stick 6 players in the back like is a mystery of the like we have never seen in the Amex era. Unfathomable.
That's not fair on Gruda, he was constantly finding space and asking for the ball but never got it . . . Veltman just wouldn't pass to him.

Veltman and Dunk were so negative today, they have to carry some of the can, constantly turning back . . . .

On the one occaision Gruda did get a pass, he steamed past three players and got sythed down . . . . Free kick was taken 10 yards behind and passsed backwards. Defeatest negative tripe . . . .no movement, way too slow and utterly predictble.

Literally the only thing worthwhile he did in the entire half. On the dozen other occasions he got the ball, he made no attempt to create anything - just rolled a simple pass straight back. No doubt he’ll be good long term. Today he was a waste of a shirt.

Gruda seems to be turning into our Grealish, someone who likes to flit inside and recycle possession in a fairly unthreatening way. Minteh Mitoma and even the returning March look way more braver and effective even tho everyone was a bit below par today

Agree with most of this, and Gruda needed the ball quickly and earlier, however when he did receive it with space, he did little with it and went backwards.

Right decision to withdraw him at h/t.

I agree with the decision to drop him in this case. No excuses for late arrival when everyone else manages to make it. It’s best for a new manager like FH to lay down a marker.

Think ppl need to chill out. Everton at home was nailed on for defeat.

If YM was late, that’s why he’s dropped. The fact we appear to know that is actually beside the point and all I can sense here is some partisan shit stirring.

I’m not the biggest fan of FH but thought he interviewed well after United. It’s a work in progress, albeit a frustrating one.
