Interesting. I just wonder where that line is, you know?

The showrunners apparently weren't happy with Kieran's "parting gift" comment in S1 and have asked for no more of such things. I don't know when you're getting into that territory and when you're OK.

Yeah it's a tricky line. But it can't be fair to recruit a traitor and stitch them up on day one, and have them say 'yes I'm a traitor'. Wilf got what he deserved.

My girlfriend and I were talking about this last week.

We reckon a season where the audience doesn't know who the Traitors are would be really interesting. It's easy to sit and yell at the telly about how terrible the Faithfuls are knowing full well who the Traitors are. Take that way from the audience as well and there'd be so many wild theories to chat about.

We also thought a season where the third Traitor is kept a secret from the other two. The two known ones would be the ones deciding who to murder etc. but the third secret one would have like a veto power. So you'd have Faithfuls trying to find the Traitors and the Traitors trying to work out who this other secret one is. But it might be complicated :shrug:

The reason we think they're stupid is not because they don't know who the traitors are. That of course is really tough. The reason is because they seem so sure they do know, based on nothing. Eg, we don't get on, so you're a traitor.

Or Yin telling everyone how smart she was, before getting murdered.

I think the only disappointing end would be if Leanne wins the whole thing - in my opinion. I just cannot warm to her at all. The others are all reasonably likeable at times, as much as one can tell. I quite like Charlotte's hitherto undetected streak of ruthlessness and cunning. She is "playing the game" pretty well. I quite like the others, Frankie, Freddie, Alexander all seem flawed but just people in a game. But Leanne? She annoys the heck out of me. She's bang on to win it now then

As someone said last week, she seems like a person who has never had anybody say no to her or call her out.

I think Kieran also stitched himself up a little by acting REALLY odd from the point he was recruited.

Although Andrew trying to work out how to be a Traitor is the funniest thing we've seen in this show so far.

We dont know yet. Really tough for Freddie to go against Charlotte's suggestion on day 1 though.

The show is more skewed towards the traitors in any case. Who would want to be a faithful?

IMHO the best place to be in the game is to start off as a Faithful and be recruited as a Traitor around 2/3 of the way through (similar to the Charlotte position in this series), as you don't give off any early Traitor vibes and can establish yourself in the game before then taking control of it.

That said, given the choice I reckon it'd be much more fun to be banished than murdered.

Yeah, it's an interesting one. Would you rather be a traitor or a faithful?

Looking at it from a purely data perspective ... You start with 22 (24/5 in season 3):

- 3x Traitors (all 3 seasons of UK so far)
- 19x Faithful
- (2x added around 1/4 way through in S3; will ignore the 3rd)

Season 1: 22 total players, 3x Traitors started. If we look at the game start to the final - 33% of the Traitors (Wilf) made it to the end. 4x starting Faithful (one recruited) made it to the end - just over 25% of the 19. So statistically more likely to make it to the final as a Traitor. But we all know that Wilf then got outed by Kieran.

Season 2: Same as season 1 by the time they made the final, this time with a different result. Harry got through to win it.

Season 3: (so far). None of the original Traitors remain, after Minah made a really bad call recruiting Charlotte and then trusting her. We'll go into the final with either 4 Faithful and 1 Traitor or 3 Faithful and 2 Traitors, but in either case it's recruited Traitor(s).

I think, on balance, I'd edge slightly towards wanting to start as a Traitor. You're more likely to make it deep into the game as long as you stay on top of managing the game, which is easier to do as a Traitor. Of the original Traitors, across all 3 seasons we've seen that the one Traitor who plays the game well will carry through. Minah could and should have made the final, but made a couple of bad calls ahead of her banishment.

As a Faithful, it's starting to become clear that your best option is to try to identify at least one Traitor very early on and to then stay close to that person and *not* banish them. Or, alternatively, highlight to that Traitor that you are onto them but not push hard enough to actually get them banished. That will help reduce the odds of being murdered and carry you deep into the game. Obvious examples: Jas from season 2 -> Harry suspicions; Jake -> Linda.
