Seems a sensible move. We have plenty of options.
Be an interesting one to watch, especially if a few 'spectaculars' from him drag them to safety
We might have seen the last of him in an Albion shirt.
If, as widely suggested, he refused to sign a contract extension, we'll be looking to sell him this summer to get a few quid back before he's free to walk away in 2026.

4 goals in 57 appearances, for a 'striker'. Rutter has 4 goals in 3 games.......
I like his workrate and desire, he's also very talented and missed a year. He does need to grow up on the pitch, but at 21 (today?) he has loads of time. Hopefully this loan works out for everyone, I'd actually love it if he helped keep Ipswich up at the expense of an Everton or I can only dream Man U!!!!

Loan is best at trying to get a good fee from him, as this seasons performances have not been great.

He was the last player to leave the pitch on Sunday and hung around - until the fans - a bit slow to catch on - finally started singing his song which he acknowledged.As @Bozza hints at re: the contractual to and fro - It looked like a goodbye / and he knew the significance of it.
Also thought it was interesting/sentimental/ symbolic even for Fab to send Gomez and Enciso on together (to waste time basically) in the last few minutes. A nice touch.

If we are wanting top half with a good chance of Europe he is not good enough.
His departure will free up game time for other squad players.
I hope he has some success at Ipswich. I do though see him as mainly coming off the bench for them, much as he has done for us.

I think I have declared Ensico, Barco and Buonanotte as my favourite and our most exciting players.
This could mean I am a poor judge of player (likely) or that we are not valuing flair players at the moment?
Football is a bit mechanical and dull at the moment. Bring back the flair players with a bit of unpredictability.

Undoubted skill and potential, but very much needs to be the main man. I can see him doing well for them as a flair player in a fairly pragmatic side. Hopefully he does and puts himself in the shop window so we can get the best possible fee in the summer.
I think our reported expectations of £40m are on the high side presently though.

I think its just that they are still 20, 20 and 21 and for now are all still Albion players . However The challenge is helping them develop in what is a strong squad. I don't think Albion aren't valuing them, loans often make sense.
Anyway Mitoma, Minteh, Rutter, Pedro, Baleba are not exactly dull are they.
£10M a goal though
Mitoma, Minteh, Rutter, Pedro and, to a lesser degree, Adingra illustrate there’s plenty of scope for flair in this Albion side.
Buonanotte has a very real chance of being a big contributor next season.

All part of the fundraising model we have to live with. I just hope we keep one flair central midfielder in the squad to come on and titillate.
Good move all round. Hope he thrives there and ideally comes back in the summer happy to sign a new contract and fight for his place or if not, we sell him for a decent fee.

Feels vindicated. Feels he’s proven he deserves more football.
Wants to leave.

Blames the club.
Feels he hasn’t been respected. Wants to leave.
Can’t see any reality where he comes back here after six months away and decides to sign a new deal.
If we get into Europe maybe? Although all the European clubs he’s been linked with will be in Europe too most likely.
