I think it is perfectly fine if you have a legit reason for doing so and not just to be a glory hunter.
Besides Albion, I also support and run the North Carolina Fan Club for VfB Stuttgart. Why you say? Very simple: I traced my ancestry to Stuttgart and been a fan ever since.
Also follow Charlotte FC (Local MLS club) and NK Tabor in Slovenia. Odd one there I know haha; my brother and I both invested over a 1000 bucks into the club via the Wefunder site after seeing an add on Facebook. Very cool we thought! Have gotten stickers from the club, season ticket passes, etc.

West Ham are a family club. My Dad moved down from the east end when he was too and all the family that remained are Hammers. I have a bit of a soft spot for them for this reason but ‘support’ them? Absolutely not.

Why would people buy season tickets to see ‘their team’? It’s easy to get one off tickets for any league game you like at the Amex.

If I were say a Spurs fan living and working in Brighton, it would make perfect sense. Considerably cheaper, easy to get to, don’t lose money not going every week, get to see the stars and pop along as and when I feel like it. If not, sell it on the exchange.

A Brighton fan born and bred in Worthing, supported just Albion until my mid teens when I started going along to games at Woodside Road and since then I'd say Worthing have been my primary team as a fan - have had a Season Ticket at Woodside the past few years and usually only get to Albion games nowadays when they don't clash with a Worthing one. Never seen any issue with it given they are both teams me and my dad support and have local links to all my life. There are teams in England I have a soft spot for and are happy to see do well, but don't actively support them.
Outside other team I support is Union Berlin, and that's because my dad started supporting them when he moved to Germany a decade or so ago and the club and fan ethos, plus the matchday experience at Alte Försterei also hooked me in. Do keep an eye out for USG's results since Bloom's investment in them, but not an active supporter.

Well an upcoming Senior Cup game is certainly one where I’m slightly conflicted.
See I’d say “No” never, but I also support Arundel FC. I guess the chances of us ever meeting in a competitive game are remote, but we nearly did this season in the County Cup.

BHAFC are my obsession - I simply do not have the time, energy or inclination to support any other club. Including the wimmin.
Of course I find the time to despise other clubs, with great enthusiasm and gusto. But thats easy, and also it doesn't cost me anything.

I know several Arsenal plastics who’ve done exactly that, also a Chelsea plastic (in the 1901) who’s done the same. Born n bred Sussex folk, they never attended the Emirates or Stamford Bridge. They used the opening of the Amex in 2011 as an opportunity to watch pro football in an attractive stadium close to home.

Having been to every non league ground in Sussex last year I do have a soft spot for a few clubs
Firstly Worthing are the closest I come to supporting another side. I follow their results closely, attend games regularly and do genuinely care about how they're getting on. This started when I moved out this way from Brighton during COVID so I am a classic JCL really
East Preston are my actual local team and I do have a soft spot for them but struggle to really get enthused by them really
Other clubs that I took a shine to on my travels are Steyning, Bognor Regis, Wick, Whitehawk, Lewes, Horsham YMCA, Broadbridge Heath, Roffey, Horsham, Arundel and Burgess Hill. Wouldn't say I support any of them though, just enjoyed what they had going on there.
Elsewhere I've got family in Darlington so have always had a soft spot for them. My mum now lives close to Newcastle Blue Star so they're another one that I like
My dad is from near Dundee so I should like one of the two sides from there but actually my north of the border team is Aberdeen.
