Thing is - we suffer more than most! After our 0-16 season in 2017 (following on from our 1-15 in 2016) Cleveland has had TWO winning seasons, the best of which was 11-5 in 2020. The great thing about the NFL is because of mechanisms like the Draft and the Cap no one team ever dominates for long and everybody can expect at least one season in the sun (like Detroit now). We've apparently gone from shit to shit with only that 11-5 season to show for it. And then we compounded it by signing Watson, thus, rightly, losing any sympathy anyone might have had for us.

Anyway, sorry, I've banged on about this before. :(
You were good when you had Jim Brown…… 😉

Indeed. Long before my time, back in the pre-Superbowl era Cleveland were apparently a really good team, that, (gulp), won championships.

As my brother keeps reminding me those Cleveland Browns are actually the Baltimore Ravens now. The NEW Cleveland Browns were an expansion team.

What a huge letdown for the Ducks, I gave up at 34-0. Just an utterly wretched first half capitulation. Congrats to Ohio State that was very impressive and Will Howard finally looked like a decent QB.

A real shame for Oregon to just lay an egg and give their critics some ammunition. Still a successful season but this defeat casts a long shadow over it. The defense just did not turn up at the start and the offence was clueless. I wonder if the long gap between games had an impact on their intensity (obviously ASU didn't have the same problem though).

Ohio State is clicking on all cylinders. They really woke up after the Michigan game. They should have beaten Oregon back in the early part of the season.

No. As the NFL works on franchises Baltimore were treated as a new franchise and the Browns franchise was suspended. It's like if your local McDonalds closed down and the owner and all the staff go to work in a McDonalds in another town. Despite the fact it's the same people the one in the new town is treated as a new McDonalds, and it isn't 'your' McDonalds any more. 'Your' McDonalds stands empty until a new franchisee takes over and reactivates it. That's what happened with Cleveland.

You can argue that that's just paperwork, but it's important. Any sports club is its fans, not the bits of paper.

Got to say I laughed and laughed when that happened. Obviously we'd already lost, but fair play to him, what a play! I think he was the nose tackle wasn't he? I loved the way he dropped back into coverage and then intercepted the pass like he was a cornerback! Pity he decided to go down and didn't try and run it all the way back, I would have cheered him on. #badfan.

Detroit finish the season #1 in NFC (first time ever), 15-2 ( first time ever), 8-0 on the road and 6-0 in the division...

Big Dan to O'Connell 'See you in 2 weeks' :)

Did Sam Darnold's QB rating get above single figures ?

A record 10th one score loss for the Jags. There's something to look back on the season and be proud of.

The Cardiac Commanders delivered yet another thrilling finish to what started out as an absolutely terrible game of offensive football. Great to see Dallas and Washington just come out slinging in the second half and provided a surprisingly enjoyable end to the regular season. On what proved to be a good night for Oregon QBs it was brilliant to see Mariota have some fun and get McLaurin his franchise record 13th receiving TD.

On to Tampa and hopefully Lattimore will be fit to resume hostilities with Mike Evans. Should be a cracking game. What a season this has been. I now know what is like to support a non-basket case team.

After a promising start the Bears losing streak was an incredible, yet inevitable failure. So entirely typical that we ended it with a winning field goal on the last play of the regular season. At the Packers. In. Your. Face. Statbro (even though you're in the wildcards).

A ridiculous game in which we took the lead with a 97 yard 'fake catcher' punt return TD, threw the stupidest pick of the season and made one of the most brutal sacks I've ever seen.

Glad it's over, though my interest has been mostly a passing one without game pass.

My god how awful was Darnold last night? Our defence held it to 10 points in the first half and he had plenty of chances for completions, I think any chance of him being franchise tagged evaporated after last night unless he turns it completely round in the playoffs. He's certainly been bailed out by our receivers being way above average but the passing was just unacceptable. Don't get me started on Reichard's kicking (Vikings and kickers hey!)

But fair play to the Lions. Got everything spot on and look exceptionally dangerous. That number 1 seed is massive.
