The body language of most of them was worrying for the final quarter of the game. Walking around, slumped shoulders, completely static when playing out from the back. They had the air of a team losing 3-0. One interpretation is that the youngsters are just lacking a bit of confidence and belief currently, which is understandable. The more worrying alternative is that they don’t have total faith in what they’re being asked to do. Footballers won’t take long to blame the former on the latter if they’re not winning.

I agree they’re trying hard. But working your socks off by repeatedly running blindly into trouble and losing possession - as several of them did - isn’t effective. The lack of options in possession was pretty clear from the WSU. Whether that’s teammates not working hard enough off the ball or a tactical failing, I wouldn’t know.
Agree that the body language of the players is very concerning. Mitoma was visibly pissed off when taken off (appreciate that's not an uncommon trait in pro footballer's and nothing to worry about) but Fab stayed sat on the bench and couldn't even be arsed to get up to shake his hand and thank him for his efforts. I wouldn't have thought that distance and lack of appreciation would go down well with some of the players.

I have no justification for this other than a hunch but I get the feeling some of the players just haven't bought in to this system (or lack of) and with players clearly being frozen out in favour of Fab favourites, I can see him losing the squad before long if we don't start winning.

I don't think it helps that Fab just doesn't come across as a likeable or warm character. Seems quite arrogant to my eyes/ears without much evidence to back it up. Would happily be proven wrong but when a manager is losing support amongst a minority (but based in this poll a significant minority) he's got to turn things around big time to win people over. Let's all hope he does but I'm not convinced.

Starting a thread which would have been started anyways by a number of other different posters isn’t embarrassing.

I’ve not stated my own opinion in the opening post either.
Disagree.

You're encouraging this mindset. It shouldn't even be a discussion point at the moment. It is embarrassing.

We should be ignoring the Palace trolls, not pandering to them.

Doing a bad thing because others will do it anyway is still a bad thing.

It seems you can divide Albion supporters into two groups.

The sensible majority.

And a minority who are brittle, needy dick-heads.

Unfortunately the latter are tiresomely noisy attention-seekers.

If we go into a Hughton-style nosedive and it looks like Fab has lost the team then he will be sacked.
There are no signs of that presently.
We are doing somewhat better than Citeh.
I'd say the chances of a Fab sacking are about the same as a Pep sacking.
If I start doing what I did during the last few weeks of Hughton (leaving at 70 minutes) it will mean a different story.
And finally I enjoyed most of the 0-0, even of the finishing was shite, and the 'sing up' signals, from Pedders, twattish.
I don't really get the need for many (not all but seen it a lot) of the IN camp to be using such unnecessary name calling just because someone has a different opinion to you. You may not understand it, you may disagree in the strongest of terms but when you start throwing insults about it just gets a bit playground and you lose any moral high ground you think you have.

It's like the number of people that keep on using the term 'entitled' to demean fans with a different opinion and give the impression that they are a lesser or newer fan and therefore their opinion doesn't matter. Surely that is the definition of entitlement? I've been going to watch the Albion since I was 7 in the mid 90's, but I haven't bought in to Fab from the start and have seen nothing to suggest I'm wrong. You may disagree with that opinion and I respect your right to think I'm completely clueless but if you can't disagree without insult then why post on a forum that will be full of varied opinion? Just a thought 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think any sensible fan, even if they have reservations and concerns (lord knows I do) will discuss and raise concerns in a sensible discussion. But will also be rational enough to give things time.

But when so called fans (Palace trolls) are ridiculous enough as to call for...
- Managers to be sacked (when we were a win away from 3rd in the table)
- Dunk to be finished (after consistently captaining the side to top half of the table in hardest league in the world)
- None of our new signings being good enough for the premier league (when they've played 10 mins in a new country, new team, new league and aged 20)

...that sort of extremist hyperbole needs to be called out for the obvious nonsense it is.

Is it FH’s fault? He works with what he has. Like many of our managers before him, he is being undone by our failure to find, and retain, a player who can convert our dominance into goals. We overstock in some positions while failing to find quality in those that really matter. Until that changes, we are a mid table side in this league.
Yes, it is like having a shelf full of baked beans, we need more sausages in the side.

Best of it is, if we lose the next couple and are sitting in 14th place a load of them name callers will be voting out.

I don't really have the same feeling about Hurzeler being arrogant but agree with the rest for sure.

The body language is shit again, can agree with that.

One of the issues with card collecting managers is that they can't tell a player to control their emotions without sounding like complete and utter hypocrites.

Mitoma should realise most of us are pissed off also, especially the fact he has stopped doing what he is best at. Been poor/very poor for a long time.

Totally disagree - look at the Buzz's Bootroom episode, for example.

Did RDZ ever get involved with things like that?

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Quite loud boos at the end, seems a fair few have shifted to the "OUT" opinion now.

So NSC, post Brentford, what’s your opinion?
Panic has set in early this year.
