You're never going to convince me that a manager who says "no" to all of Tony's ideas is in the best interest of this club and its future success, so we can just skip that part.

What I do wonder is why you think Hurz is a "yes man"? Personally have no goddamn clue if he's a "yes", "maybe" or "no"-man.
Well RDZ started out as saying he was a yes man, was in reality a maybe and ended up a no. Your first paragraph suggests you don’t think that’s something we’ll do again for a while, which is something I’d agree with.

All I hope is that the Assistant Manager coming in January will help FH turn it around.
I think it’s a pivotal appointment and hope that the new guy will be able to guide Fabian.
However, I retain my concerns. Fabian’s system is to have a two man midfield and I just don’t think you can operate for large parts of most Premier League games on this basis. He needs to adapt and understand that other managers/ analysts will work out our deficiencies and act on them. This is where it seems he is naïve.
On a positive note I think that we haven’t had the available players to play a 343 formation as I think that Ferdi as LWB and Jack Hinshelwood at RWB would be a good solution. ( we seemed to play this at Newcastle and we were defensively pretty sound then albeit Isaac missed a couple of good chances). When we get both these players back then we have this option which I understand is close to what St Pauli played.

Always easy to say "yes" when things are lovely, the difficulty is keep doing it when they aren't.

So far Hurz seem very relaxed and not feeling any pressure, but if we go another six winless games he's closer to getting sacked than not getting sacked and then its hard to tell how people respond.

Veltman played in the wins at Bmuff and Newcastle, where we had the rarity of an exemplary defence. Under your preference above do you see him in a back 3 with JPVH and Dunk?
