Is it my imagination or did we start the season breaking at pace and bearing down on goal? We have since reverted to a hybrid of Potter and RDZ and poncing about with the ball from our area to the oppositions and then trying to play through a packed defence. Since Welbeck got injured Bart seems to be hoofing 50% of the time and we lose the ball, as there is no one capable of holding it up, or it goes into touch.

Not tactics that suit Mitoma, Adingra or Minteh imo

Welbeck has to be managed correctly playing him in every game until he collapsed was ridiculous.

I miss Undav. He was the perfect backup option for Welbeck, was a proper striker and could score a few goals.

We should’ve kept him and loaned out Ferguson at the time in my opinion. Pedro is a great player but not really a 9 I think, more like a 10 or a 9.5 (9/10). Same goes for Georginio, although he’s slightly worse than Pedro.

We really need another clinical striker like Welbeck/Murray but we don’t have anyone.

Undav was never settled and wanted back to Germany. All the signs were there, jokingly complaining about not being able to get a good kebab :)lol:), rumblings and press stories about being unsettled, personal issues etc.

I think if we’d have tried to force him to stay we’d have been stuck with a very unhappy man in the dressing room and on the training pitch.

We got an excellent fee for him in the end.

I was, however, apprehensive about going into the season with just two outright strikers, one of which has recurrent injury issues and the other an out of form teenager.

It was a nasty tackle by Flynn Downes in the Southampton game that put him out, he didn't "collapse" and was looking extremely strong/fit.

That could have happened in any game regardless of mins played (like O'Riley 6 mins into his debut).

Sadly Fabian has turned out a german version of the dullard Potter. Nowhere near good enough to move this club forward. He is an incredibly unispirational coach

I do worry we’re being a bit too clever for our own good here

I’m not OUT (yet), but I’m moving up to the fence from the IN side

I’m not Fab out, but there has to be serious questions asked about a team who can be so dominant against opposition who have gained just 1 point away from home, who were injury ravaged in defence, and still looked more likely to score than we did.

Hurzeler is a young manager who is learning, so we need to be patient with him... a lot like our squad.

We are still in the mix for Europe. We are still putting in decent performances. We are still picking up points.

The football we're playing has been entertaining under Hurzeler.

To be honest, I'm not sure what our fans really expect for a club of our size.
