This was in our Estonian news today. A fairly regular occurrence. The Russians testing Nato responses
Does anything happen during or after these events? I'm assuming it is just Russia pushing the boundaries, testing responses, ruffling a few feathers etc.

A glimpse into the sheer, unimaginable scale of the Ukrainian drone industry. I've heard elsewhere that Ukraine is now producing more drones than the whole of NATO.
Yes, including the USA.

The implication is clear. Ukraine is preparing for the future. A future war footing, without the USA.

Astonishing numbers.Lets hope the manufacturing locations are dispersed, disguised, defended or all three.

This is one thing they do regularly. Another thing is they jam the GPS over here. Our government claims it's still safe for our planes but I am sure it can't be a good thing.

I'm sure they are. That is what I have read. They are distributed so much, among many small companies/workshops/households, that there is little defence against them. So the Russians cannot hope to knock out more than a fraction of them. I recall they were aiming to produce some 2 million this year. Phenomenal.

It may be that the whole ATACMS/Storm Shadow argument, was a bit of western maskirovka. They've obviously helped Ukraine, especially in Kursk, but perhaps they weren't actually quite as pivotal as they were made out to be.

Fast forward a few months, after the peace talks have failed. Will the Ukrainian drone production have reduced or grown even more? Will there be more skilled drone operators, or fewer?

More threats from Medvedev:

Russia bomb Ukraine daily, killing anyone in the wrong place. Ukraine kill the general in charge of chemical and biological weapons. Journalists in the West point out that this is fair, so even those journalists are a legitimate target? Righto Russia.

Russia wants to bring the West into the war. Good luck with that Russia.

You could well be right.
I wonder if Ukraine's long range missile development is also coming along well. Let's hope so.

They are becoming desperate. Faced with the horror of horrors, independent journalism, all they can do is do what they have done until now. Make threats. Their thinking is on tramlines.

This is why Ukraine will win. They are streets ahead of Russia.

Nah... Rachel wouldn't have sanctioned the spend for the air fare
Haha, Rachel from Accounts.

It was mentioned on a Times Radio interview -I'll dig it out. Then old Solovyev repeated it on his show.

Would the Kremlin prefer it to have been us rather than Ukrainian hit squads running around Moscow? It looks like it. Doesn't mean it was us though.

But then, the hit came a day after Ukraine had convicted Kirillov in absentia. But it had been planned for weeks in advance. Ukraine quickly claimed responsibility for it. Hmmm.

I'd love to be the one receiving the accusation from the Kremlin, and point out that they've already caught the patsy that did it. Maybe ask if there's been another attack or something? Maybe he's been assassinated again?

I think it was Ukraine.
Lots of ways for the UK to help Ukraine without risking hits in Moscow.
Your middle para is on the money IMO...it suits the Kremlin narative to tell their people that every NATO country is attacking them, whereas they have Ukraine totally under their control.

All part of the plan comrade. A smokescreen of the left hand not knowing what the right is doing, but in reality, we are in total control.
