Let’s not pretend Georginho was better than Minteh today. He was arguably our worst attacker, and by quite some distance.

Although I will mitigate that comment by saying I would never be playing him in behind JP - they spend the whole game trying to do the same thing in the same areas.
Thought they were both really poor.

Minted is so one-footed and his decision making, frankly, is abysmal at this level.

The good news is he’s young, so the decision making will come.

They were all poor though…..

Hit and miss. Personally im not a fan and am looking forward to the return of Solly March! Would prefer Lamptey playing RW once Veltman and Ferdi are back.

Poor again. We’d been better off buying the Fog on the Tyne. At least fog provides cover.

We’ve been utterly mugged. We are never ever getting close to that money back.
A prime example of lavish outlay with no return… the perils of spending BIG on players who had one good season in Dutch football… when you think about our track record therein, well… it’ll hardly be a surprise if he continues not to set the world alight at PL level.

Yes, we were mugged.

Alright, alright. But Georginio has put in a number of good performances for us. He was crap like many today, but he's contributed this season. Minteh hasn't

FFS he's a kid in his first year in the Premier League. Give him a chance to settle in and develop.
Yeh mate, we buy for the future we know this and we'll have to accept inconsistency.

But the lad is at the stage where you just can't play him, we've sent much better than him out on loan

You mean Georgino, who has 2 goals and 2 assists in 900 minutes in the league, compared to Minteh who has 2 goals and 1 assist in 550 minutes in the league?

Or were you talking about his twin, Ruttner?

The problem is we massively overpaid for him.
Strip away the transfer fee and he’s about as good as you might expect for a kid with no premier league experience.
I fear we wasted several tens of millions this summer, by overpaying. And not reinforcing where we need it most.
It looked reckless at the time and looks worse now.

You’re right, I can’t for the life of me understand why Ferguson didn’t start today. We needed a focal point

Or, and here’s an idea, we could play either an AFCON winner or an international for Paraguay instead and let him “develop” by bringing him on later in games

No sensible person can seriously argue Minteh has has as good as, or anywhere near as good a season as Georginio
