Sorry no credit for Hurzeler , he should know his squad well enough by now , his tactics today at home were dire . Don`t know what Enciso has done wrong not to get more time , he made such a difference today , maybe it is that F*****g "process" whatever that BS is , if it is playing the way we did today he has got it spot on - for every other bugger but not us .
Yes, Encisco, was the only one to look at his normal level, why is it our wingers rarely beat the full backs now? it has to their confidence or the manager doesn't want them going on the outside. Thank goodness we are not playing in Europe this year, as I fear we would get well beat, like today.

Considering the vast amount of money lavished on a squad that Fab inherited his tactical skills seem underwhelming as we approach the first half.

Let's hope he learns and tweaks the process

What else can he do?

He’s already tried multiple fixes to missing Bw, Welbeck and their

I agree he needs to do better at finding a solution. That’s his role.

He’s tried several tactical adjustments to cover the lose of Veltman, his replacements and Welbeck. With what’s available, I’m not sure where he can go.
It`s his tactics that are not working , he changes the personnel but not the overall set up , we still overplay out from the back to a weak MF with very few crosses and even fewer bodies to meet a cross whether on the floor or in the air .

? Just look up the team sheet if you don’t know who played, and seeing as Weiffer came on , you have your answer.

I didn’t bother looking at the team sheet, I could just see that we needed a bit more physicality in the centre of the park. As such I suggested either O’Riley or Wieffer (our more physical CMs) as potential replacements for Ayari.

It’s not difficult. Either would have done, and Wieffer eventually did, though bizarrely for our other physical midfielder (Baleba)

Why can’t Mitoma dribble past a player anymore? He’s become a predictable check-back Charlie. Adingra should have come on to get some minutes on his favoured left.
Imho it’s because we play so many in advanced positions when we are in possession. It makes the opposition drop in numbers and thus there is no space to run into.
We are our own worst enemies right now. Playing 3-1-6 when we have the ball may seem positive but it kills all the space available.

I was on a guided tour of Auschwitz while we were capitulating again.

Mid-table mediocrity beckons, it seems. I'm feeling very 'meh' about us this month.

I feel this has been going on a long time, certainly last season as well. Mitoma takes the measure of his defender very early in the match and if he can do him for pace from a standing start he goes by him repeatedly… but when he feels he can’t do him for pace from a standing start he checks back all match long. It’s very often a standing start with him because he receives the ball when he’s stationary

I have long thought that Mitoma and Adingra should job share, like Martinelli and Trossard at Arsenal. Works for them.

Our manager has been utterly out coached by their manager.

Half a season in and I still couldn’t tell you what our system really is. We have created nothing.
our system is, as FB says over and over, ‘to follow the process’. Quite what the F ‘the process’ is I don’t know and I’m beginning to doubt FB does either.

Mitoma is normally accompanied by 3 defenders.
Beat his man twice in the second half, when there wasn't two other defenders backing him up.
