Birmingham. Was surprised myself and was talking at work that it's only 11th October and had our 1st frost!

It's so mild up here tonight it might as well be spring.
I last had the heating on about two weeks ago. This is my second summer with air con, I only used it for a few days last year. Generally, I shut the house down during the day, windows and curtains closed, but after a few hot days, the heat fully gets in. It was so good last year to be able to bring the temp down.

Still holding out although Mrs DCH came back from India yesterday after working away all week and has been complaining how cold it is in the house so not sure how much longer it will be before I give in.

Toasty wood burner on in the lounge tonight. Still going through 6 years worth of wood from our garden which is in the garage.
