We are close to a world where Donald Trump is running the US, Thomas Tuchel in England Manager and one of Jenrick or Badenoch is leader of the opposition. F*cking hell!!! What next??
I'm thinking of getting my tits done.

so not Potter then, despite so many certain it was?
Personally I expected England to go with another English manager and then Potter would have been one of very few candidates. Didn't expect the English FA to take the easy route and appoint the biggest available name. Thought they had learned something from the Capello fiasco but nopes.

I may have been certain it would be Potter as recently as an hour ago.

However, these things are complicated, and it just so happens that Tootle is in fact my very first choice for the job.

His face is pointy from certain angles, sure. But, hey, he also has pointy thoughts, and some of them are very sharp.

I recon.....I recon we could get to a quarter final, maybe more.

Great days. Great days.

Change is as good a rest. I don’t mind the change of direction, try something new.

Tactics and first 11 selection the main things for an international manager.

Rather than the daft kid in a sweetshop versus Greece, select a load of ’creative’ players, leaving us a shambles defensively.

Because we’ve been really successful with English managers …..

In all seriousness....this is quite exiting.

Apart from the panzer in the room: the fact he's a f***ing German.

How did we ever win (the war)?

It’s a bold call, be fascinating to see how it plays out

Will get up the noses of the “must be ENGLISH” brigade though, which is always fun

It’ll probably end in tears. TT will be blunt with hacks dumb questions, they’ll then set out to destroy him. They even did that with gentleman Bobby Robson …. easily forgotten because the hypocrites ‘liked him’ in summer 90.

I’ll just enjoy something different on the pitch.

Its a win-win. If you win the World Cup, everyone will laugh, if you don't, everyone will laugh.
They laughed when you said you would be a comedian.

They're not laughing now.

A foreign alternative isn't wrong but this is the same as with Capello and Svennis. There appears to be little thought behind it. Tuchel is even more allergic to creative freedom than Southgate is. No Tuchel side has played anything but dire football since halfway through his second season in Chelsea.

You didn't win the war as much as they lost it...
