I see the IDF has shot another UN peace keeper. Yet their answer is "UN peace keepers should leave". Along with shooting the press dead in Lebanon and banning the press from Gaza a cynic might suggest they are trying to cover up the murders they carry out i.e. shooting children in the head. No witnesses no proof. Murderous cvnts - hope they all burn in hell.

I hope that you can join in condemning your / our own Government then, who continue to support such 'murderous c****'?

There was a demo down on Hove Lawns near the Peace Statue this lunchtime with hundreds of people remembering the thousands killed by the Israeli state, with someone reading out the names. And about 30 people holding Israeli flags and Union Jacks. Loads of plod there and seemed to pass off peacefully.

Does the Biden/Harris appeasement of Iran bear responsibility for the current atrocities in the Middle East?

I would say more that Biden/Harris appeasement of Israel (not forgetting our own UK govt.) bears responsibility for the current atrocities in the Middle East.

The article had a slant Netenyahu himself could have penned though seeing it was Victor Davis Hanson ....from his bio....

A Trump supporter who also wrote the book 'A case for Trump' and praises Trump for "an uncanny ability to troll and create hysteria among his media and political critics."]

And now the Yanks go further in their support, sigh.

One theory doing the rounds is that once Israel hits Iran oil facilities as expected, Iran will then target gulf oil production thereby driving up the price worldwide. Trump then promises Yanks that they will keep their own oil and Netanyahu gets even stronger support if Trump wins. So f***ing depressing.

Words can't express how vile this is. No coverage on the mainstream news of course. No words of condemnation from Starmer et al, of course. And because it isn't the first time tents full of sleeping people have been bombed and burned in al Aqsa, and it wasn't condemned then, it most certainly isn't going to be condemned now.

Gosh this thread is depressing, which is hardly surprising.

Unfortunately there is no clear cut right and wrong in this whole conflict. The only clear cut things as far a I can tell are:

a) there were no Jews in Gaza prior to Hamas starting the conflict.
b) Hamas would start the conflict again irrespective of whether they had their own state (which they kind of already did), as they are idealogically committed to Israel not existing.

I wrote a letter to my MP this week about the crisis. I've never done anything like this before, and I know will have absolutely no effect whatsoever, but I can't think of anything else to do to stop the genuine anger and frustration this war brings on a daily basis.

You're right in that you are likely to receive a predictable and standardised response from any Tory or Labour MP. I'd be interested to hear of anything other, depending on your MP. Still a good thing though to voice your objection.

Most towns and cities have a local PSC (Palestine Solidarity Campaign) Group. Before anyone might try claim otherwise (and to differentiate from the previous post that doesn't recognise Palestine) these are also part of a National Campaign Group and do not support Hamas in any way, which is against the law in this country.

Local PSCs generally meet in town centres every weekend and from experience you will find a welcoming and interesting multi cultural gathering campaigning for the recognition of Palestine, highlighting UK policies and calling for an end to UK arms sales whilst bringing to attention the suffering of innocent Palestinians.

Some local groups
