When their suspensions are over after tonights game, will they come straight back into the team against Rochdale or will Gus make them wait? Espcially since El abd had a really good game against Swindon and Barnes hardly did anything wrong.

Same thing goes with Brez aswell

That sounds about right. El Abd will be on the bench where he is so versatile in place of Whing, possibly also Smith will revert to the bench if we go to 4-4-2 at home or Barnes if we stick with 4-5-1-.

Surely there is no way Gus will drop Ankergren to the bench.

Feel sure that one of the provisos to him signing, was that he would be our number one keeper.

I don't think Gus is one for guaranteeing anyone a starting place, if he has a long run of poor games there's no way he'll keep starting and I think he respects Brez enough not to give him a start at some point this season

Murray has to come in for Barnes, but El-Abd and Elphick were IMMENSE against Swindon so its harsh to drop one of them. Greer has that touch of class though, so he would just edge El-Abd out for me.

I would play Greer alongside El Abd and swap Murray for Barnes. Barnes is still young and learning, so he's not quite there for me yet

Thats why they will be on the bench, its a message to the rest of the squad, if he is prepared to leave our captain and No1 striker on the bench then you cant grumble when it is you.

Gus wants his centre backs to be able to pass, neither Elphick or El-abd are great at it so Greer is a nailed on starter on Saturday.
