Starting a revolution from my bed
Calderon coming home.

He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Calderon's coming home :clap2:

Hither and Thither
Alex Dawson was a Busby Babe.

I know that. He was one of my favourites - but he didn't come directly from United.

I know I was amazed when I saw a photo of Dawson post-Munich leading the United line.

Alex Dawson was one of my favourites. I remember one home game whenhe was so frustrated by the keeper hanging onto the ball - he launched himself at the ball head first (which was in the keepers hands) - the keeper stepped aside and Dawson slid along the wet turf.

Great question for me in order we have:
1 Frank Worthington, the best most flair player to arrive with a huge reputation for excess but in fact turned out to be a gent who licked a bit of excess
2 liam brady football god but never kicked a ball for us
3 Jimmy Case when he arrived thourght his best times were behind him.....no way
4 Martin Chivers been there done it but his best times were behind him
5 Fred Binney goal poacher best of his type at the time
6 Teddy Maybank big hopes but never quite lived up to them but grea hair
7 Frank Stapleton another football ledgend but again his best times were behind him

Teddy Maybanks.

Bobby Zamora. When we signed the Bobster I went straight down the bookies and put a tenner on us for the Title. I won't be doing that for a fullback.

Exactly what I was about to post. Although Calderon is a great signing.

Completely agree with you & Cuthbert on this, an England international during the previous season - signed in 1965.

Would be like us signing Beckham now? or Scholes perhaps?

my view was that Bobby Zamora was one of the greatest if not the greatest signing we ever made but thats in hindsight at the time he was a raw unkown with some tallent my list was players who arrived with history
