So, if you had to chose just FIVE bands to class as your favourite ever who would they be and why?

TOUGH choices but for me...

Joy Division - Iconic genius with superb production complimenting the tortured soul of Ian Curtis.
The Jam - Mod revivalist-tastic. Almost always good - at times simply VITAL.
Oasis - Defined an era and reintroduced proper ROCK STARS to the masses.
The Happy Mondays - Practically invented modern indie and introduced dance to the working class white masses.
The Specials - One of the most socially important bands of all time and had some CRACKING tunes.

Bubbling under: Super Furry Animals, The Streets, The Who, The Sex Pistols and Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder.

Westlife - I defy anyone not to be moved by the cute Irish crooners.
