I can't believe you've got My Family on there. One of the best comedies of the past 20 years. It's been going for nearly a decade now, and 8million viewers every week can't be wrong.

then explain The Green Green Grass and Goodnight Sweeheart. some poor saps will watch whatever's on.

i liked My family the first couple of series, but its outstayed its welcome.

i miss clicked on bread (whats that even doing on the list), Goodnight Sweetheart is by far the worst on the list.

Ronnie Corbett's 'Sorry'. Fuckin pants, man.

Language Timothy!

Actually, bad as it was, the fact that a catchphrase remains with us probably means it wasn't the worst.

I think someone else mentioned Jim Davidson in Up the Elephant and Round the Castle. A zero-laugh product.

Out of the list I went for Bread, but where was Terry and June &, Mixed Blessings and others such as Love Thy Neighbour? They were far worse than Bread, never saw Upper Hand but there have been way too many bad ones .

Why no option for "Life of Riley" , a true shitfest of sitcom.

Does Two Pints Of Lager & A Packet Of Crisps or whatever that total shitefest that seems to be on EVERY time I get to see BBC. Utter utter SHITE.
Does that count as a Shitcom?

What about

Only When I Laugh - the only duff thing James Bolam has ever done
Mind Your Language
Love Thy Neighbour and Bless This House, which have already been namechecked, but so bad they are worth mentioning again
On The Buses - bloody hell, poorly acted and scripted even worse
Father Dear Father

I seem to recall Citizen Smith being quality - Robert Lindsay and Peter Vaughn, can't fail.

After You've Gone and The Green, Green Grass.

Hailed as the "great new British comedies" on BBC Entertainment. Oh dear. What do they give to the audience to get them to go bonkers during the credits of After You've Gone?? I have never met anyone who laughs and cheers like that without chemical assistance.

What about the late 70s/early 80's one with John Inman working in a rock factory in Littlehampton?
That made never the twain look pure class.
