The only one's to say it was a racist attack were the tabloids, the police and the victim never put this forward, just because a white person has a fight with an asian or a black man doesn't make it a racist attack.

However did the father of the victim not sell his story to the press, causing the first trial to collapse and there was an underlying theme that it was racial in that. Granted this does not prove that it was and the sentance suggested otherwise.
