I am so glad to see that with the Whing signing, Deano is working towards filling the gaps in our squad. He knows the weaknesses and is finding replacements. 1 of the 4 players down, 3 to go.

I reckon a striker, a midfielder, and a goalkeeper

Lets hope this is the start of 3/4 quality players coming in....If we do want to challenge for promotion that 20+ goals a season man and a decent winger is what we are shy of.

He'll be getting a far better standard of football here than he would at Galaxy. Mr Knight may even be able to stretch to his £125 million wages.

We had that already last year - if home support had only done enough to help get same points at home as away.

There weren't many teams worse than us in that division last season. That 50+ points is flattering in the extreme. Without the quality in the side being bolstered, we'll be lucky to reach 40 points next season. On form, we should have been relegated.

on home form, yes, away, ...?

home pts 22, position: bottom, bottom
away pts 31, position: 7th

same pts at home as away would have given us 12th place, mid-table

same position at home would have given us 7th, obviously.

if add just 1 goal away at Blackpool,in the play-offs

we "only" got a draw at Blackpool (anybody know how they ended the season?)

Give it a rest for fucks sake!

You are as boring as Perseus with this 'home fans bad, away fans good' bollocks.

Who said home fans were bad?

This is a "Wilkins out" thread - the same Wilkins/same team at away matches as at home.

Perhaps it's the long drive that makes it work out better.

Who did McGhee attract last Summer with a BETTER playing budget?

Wilkins has a smaller budget so it therefore stands to reason he will not be capable of getting big name players.

The sooner we ditch these delusions of grandeur and start looking at players likely to join at best a mid-table league one team who play in a rubbish stadium the better.
*cough*
