Gardner if we sign him is not exactly a defensive mid so Bridcutt is our only real specialist currently. It would be unwise in the extreme to go into the season without an addition in that position and for it to be an experienced international who Bridders could learn from and develop alongside would be stunning. That said it must be long odds against signing him.
We don't need two defensive midfielders in a match, that's far to negative like last season.

Not going to be Alexander Kacaniklic from Fulham I'm afraid.

He was rumoured to be the player who was at the ground with Gardner last week but following his Twitter timeline he has been in Majorca with his girlfriend for the last fortnight and has now gone home to Sweden for a vacation Twitter

Hope the identification of Gardner was more accurate.

Gardner sounding more promising - no-one ITK but a friend who is an avid Villain reckons "he needs to move on to make real progress"

I cant beleive Lambert would let a young player go who he has not really seen in action yet....

Unless he has plans for that position already.

Who knows...

I kind of agree but if the sale process had already begun and if, as rumoured, Villa need to sell before Lambert can buy.......................................

As I said. Clutching at straws

Who's to say Lambert hasn't seen him? People like that watch a LOT of football.

Typical Tony & Gus isn't it?

We have a list of potential signings half a page long and he pulls one in completely out of left field (or right side in the case of Bruno) - second guessing Albion these days is beyond an art form
